I don't think the spiral staircase shot ever gets old. Each one has its own characteristics and the varied tones and depths always make for interesting B&W shots. I'm sure it's a rare day that an office stairwell makes a good color shot. ;) I vote that you work the shot from every angle and show us what you came up with.

There's a least three different views, this one is from the top floor where the railing is different (no continuation upwards) from all other floors, and there's one possible view looking up from the bottom floor as well. I'll see what I can do... :)

I second it :) NO SSN REQUIRED FOR PP. I filled out 000-00-0000 for my son. I believe there was a site or document I looked up and got this info (dont remember where I found it).
You dont need a PIO. If it is emergency or you dont have time, just get a multiple entry visa. For kids at that age it does not make any difference whether they enter on PIO or a visa. Chicago issues visa the same day.
BTW does Indian consulate do background check and issue 221(g) :D:D
PS: I live in IL as well and you dont need SSN for kids to get a PP :)

Can some body help with the below Questions?
1 . After getting Divorce in USA do we need to update the INS(is it Mandatory) to take away the wife from my Green card Process?
2. Planning to get remarried in India , while sending my new wife for H4 stamping , Is divorce doc alone is sufficient and if do not update the INS on my divorce , while my new wife goes to H4 stamping will that take care of evrything?

If they do this retroactively, I hope they retro to 500 years back. Everyone from the congress and the president should deport their ass from where their ancestor's came from.

it is that science/math/engg does not pay. it does not pay because the wheelers/dealers/fixers/middlemen/bullshitters make the money.
american kids work hard when at law school/med school/mba. because those jos pay. as an engineer you are screwed. as a phd likely unemployed.
so, american kids are not dumb. they are far smarter than you think. they are taken the correct decision in the circumstances.

yes. it depends how u do it...in our case we were buying a house in a new subdivision. we had identfied the subdivision, the parcel (lot), the upgrades, everything.
if we didnt have a realtor, the builders agent would be both the seller and buyer agents, thereby earning potentially 7% (3.5%+3.5%) for doing nothing.
so we found a realtor and he was more than happy to take 1% and give us 2.5% in terms of upgrades.
If u r buying a second hand house (so to speak) u dont need to worry about that because the seller pays both the buyer and the seller's commission. all u have to pay is closing costs.

Anyone else is like me - My 9th yr H extension was receipted from VERMONT on Jan9th '08 and its almost June 9th '08 and I'm still "Pending"... The peoples i know of got it in 2-3 months , worst case is 4 months.
Earlier i had Extension from VERMONT within 1-2 months , don't know what special stuff they have found for me this time !! :rolleyes:

Similar thing happened to my AP notice. I got all the notices properly including EAD. But my AP approval notice was sent back by USPS as undeliverable. USCIS sent the AP back to my lawyer along with USPS undeliverbale notice without any upate on the online status. Lawyer sent whole package back to me. I could see that address is correct. I have placed recepient names in the mail box long back so thats not the issue. USPS undeliverable notice was pasted on top of the returned mail. That was strange.
As I enquired further one of my friend wife FP notice also sent back like that , luckily his lawyer also got another one.
I am going to meet USPS personnel soon to find out what exactly the issue .
On October XX, 2007, the post office returned our last written notice on this case as undeliverable. This can have serious effects on the processing of this case. Please call 1-800-375-5283 to update the mailing address so this notice can be re-sent.
I was shocked. I have emailed the company law firm and I'm awaiting response from them.... Have they mistyped their own address since that is supposed to go to them? Or USCIS is just pulling my legs?
