Apple, please, put Blu-ray drives in Macs! At least as an option.
We need them for handy backups of audio, images and video taking lots of GB.
BR drives costs 1000$ (cheap ones) and disks no less than 40$. You can buy over 3 TB of reusable/reliable/much faster HD Storage in that amount. I think that should be more than enough for any backups.

safari needs a little work on it. Right now I prefer Firefox because of the tabbed window function and even more so because i can add search engines within the same window, such as google, yahoo, amazon, ebay, IMDB and webster dictionary.

For some weird reason, my plus sign for adding bookmarks is gone. When I try to ad a bookmark, it puts it on the end of the list so I have to go to the right arrows on the right side to see it. Anyone have any idea why this may be happening?

I just DL'd the demo for Earth Worm Jim and it is awesome. I just wanted to give people a heads up that this was released in case anyone loved this game years ago. It has 4 player co-op but I'm not sure how it works.

It's a complete replacement of the iOS binaries and Apple-supplied apps.
I think I pointed this out earlier, but if you look back at the recent WP7 update fiasco where a bunch of Samsung hardware got bricked by the update, you'll understand why a patch might not be a great idea. Esp. given the number of jailbroken iPhones and iPads out there, that don't have the base OS that a patch might expect...

Just been messin' around with GeekTool all night:D and man this thing is awesome!!!
Just a tip as far as geektool goes. Make sure you set the refresh times differently. If you have all of them set to refresh at the same time, you could run into problems.

I think the consensus is that Apple abandoned the idea of building a phone completely from the ground up, which was their original idea. The question is *what* exactly they abandoned. At some level it makes sense for them to use Symbian or some other existing OS in order to get the benefit of 3rd party app availability.
Then again, that rather un-Apple like, since I would think Apple would want to have total control over the interface. Maybe Apple *will* come up with a real-time "OS X Lite" operating system, and the 3rd party apps will have to be Java apps, basically. If Apple makes sure that Java performs well on the iPhone then that would be their best strategy...

That's it exactly, I've been trying to think what it is... and you're right the UI is actually overdone!
Having trouble computing what exactly is "overdone" about the UI of this app. It is simple, clean and well organized.

I know right? Christians are totally equivalent in women's clothing to Muslims. I mean, asking for the skirts to be to their knees, for them to not see midriff, or parts of the breast is totally equivalent to making the wear burkhas. There's nothing stupid about this. Its a huge privacy violation to have your locations constantly tracked without your consent, even if the data is not used directly by Apple.
For the 100000th time, it doesn't track your location.
Steve just does not look well in that photo - I even had to look closely to see if he'd been Photoshopped in or not as the colour of his skin is so different to the others'...

Verizon already had a lot of high end android devices so maybe those customers didn't want to switch to a new platform? I know a few verizon iphone adopters that switched back to android. Lol maybe they just realized that at the end of the day all smartphones are essentially the same.
