My niece just noticed a crack on her iPad 2. She didn't drop it, she takes great care of it and she is a responsible adult. Has anyone else noticed an issue like this?

The only meaningful way to save the red countries from depopulation is to eliminate access to birth control and abortions. Places have tried to boost birth rates, it hasn't succeeded.
I'm pretty sure I said "bolster the population," not "raise the birth rate." Making babies is only one way to increase the number of people in a certain area.

Sounds pretty sweet. I would love a hand made one of a kind bag for my Powerbook. If only they were truely stylish.

Hopefully MobileMe will be gone. It is a terrible name.
Anything but MobileMe please. Makes no sense at all.
iBanana would sound better, even.

I'd be fine if they limit the number of iPods they can be viewed on, if they allow DVD burning... and add extras, scene selection, etc.
hehe
Why is it when I buy a table or chair I can do whatever the heck I want with it, but when I buy something digital, like a DVD or Software, I'm suddenly only "licensing" the friggin thing and have all sorts of dumb restrictions. Expecting me to buy the same movie twice just so I can put it on my iPod is insanity.

Nooooooooo! Bertrand was my favorite SVP, no corporate BS spewing from his mouth, just good old honesty and genuine pride about how great things were and how bad everyone else was :) I will forever miss his accent at the keynotes. I'm guessing they asked him to talk in a keynote about the 'magic' of Lion, so he left in pursuit of science!

Added geektool scripts finally! I feel like my corners are balanced now. So many useful small apps too! Let me know what you guys think!

this looks awesome! does having these scripts on your computer slow it down it all?
if not, is there a tutorial to do this sort of this somewhere on this site? there used to be in one of the old desktop threads but i can't find it at the moment :(.

I'm lovin it, but no space invaders :(
Well that sucks. Between Space Invaders and Astroides those are my two favorite Atari games... Now if we could just get some of the Activision games ported over! Oh.......the memories.
Some games I would like to see now that we are seeing stuff like this pop up in the app store:
Joust
Gauntlet
Pitfall
Defender
Tecmo Bowl
Star Wars (wire frame version)
Afterburner
:D

I'm not as much of a fan of them as everybody else that likes them, but I mean, I still listen to them every-so-often.
My friend likes them a lot though, and I can basically name off part of his iTunes for you if you'd like other stuff he likes:
Porcupine Tree
System of a Down
Radiohead
Muse
Audioslave
Arctic Monkeys
The Killers
Kings of Leon
Lifehouse
Linkin Park
Green Day
Okay, I'm tired of listing/remembering.

Well based on the news that Apple's new NC data center was the largest for a single company. I would say yes.
No way ... each gmail account gets upwards of 7 gigabytes of storage ... do you even know how many gmail accounts there are?
Google definitely has more than Apple, it may be that they spread it over multiple data centers, so it's not counted as one.

Maybe as a workaround, you could move the "index.htm" file from the root of your CD into the folder (and rename the index.htm in the folder to something else), and put a new file that (only) automatically sends you to the index.htm in the folder (this page shouldn't have any content, only a simple redirect to the index file in the folder). That way you don't have to mess with moving up in the folder tree. :) Unless, of course, you have multiple folders and need to point to "index.htm" in each .. then this obviously wouldn't work. Is this the issue at hand?

On a completely separate note Jobs, looks hilarious in this photo almost belittling the camera man with that look!

I'm not too good at creating graphics for web pages, OK to be honest I'm hopeless, rubbish, c**p :o
Does anyone have any links to good web tutorials (text or video) or know of a decent book or two? I have Photoshop Elements 8 but am prepared to use something else if that is recommended.

It would simply indicate a failure of intelligence, and would invalidate any trial evidence. His death is meaningless anyway.
Who wants retribution? Your country has just destroyed two other nations and caused the deaths of in the region of a million people, including 4,000 US soldiers, and more or less bankrupted itself, all for what, 3,000 dead, in a search for one man? Is that retribution, or is it lunacy? How many more people now want retribution on the USA?
You're over play that part, I agree generally with what you are saying(although the million estimate is on the higher end, its not without sources) but America had NOT bankrupted itself, it just needs to cut spending, a lot.
But thats not all because of 9/11, we just did balance the budget well overall, both on spending at home and spending internationally.
Actually he was just on O'Reilly claiming that statement was taken out of context, and stating plain as day that KSM was waterboarded by the CIA.
Just give a link, please. That way we all have access to the same info, and we can all talk about it equally
Right now, no one can argue with you because they only have your short hand story, where you narrow it down only to support your point, thats not wrong, its just not a useful starting point.

Can you be more specific? What do you mean by the word "slight"? Old iPods have a 1-2- second gap between tracks. Is it less than a second?
The gap is very slight and doesn't seem to be consistant. When skipping ahead to the next song in the playlist, there's about a 1/10th of a second pause. When allowing one track to play straight through to the next, it seems the gap is less than half of that to almost none, but like I said it seems to vary. There's been a couple times where I could swear there was no gap or pause, but most of the time it's perceptable in some way. For albums where a musical selection spans more than one track, I would probably link them together into one audio file/track before importing to iTunes.
I'll play with it some more though. I haven't had that much time to spend with it just yet after it took over 2 hours to fully charge and I just dumped a couple albums to it quickly to take it to the gym for a test run. Preliminary results are very positive. The size is great... The included earbuds are nothing special and their cord is a little on the short side, which may be good or bad depending on how you want to use it.

I believe last year it showed up around 8:45pm eastern time. So basicly 5 hours after the keynote ends. Maybe we can hope it'll be up a little sooner this time?
