Thank you all for your valuable suggestions... I have compiled the list from your posts and I will ask my attorney as to what all from here can be submitted...
1. marriage certificate
2. wedding photographs
3. wedding card invitation
4. property papers on joint name
5. other investments on joint name might help.
6. Indian passport has spouse's name entered
7. "Lease papers"
8. "Medical insurance papers with name of the spouse"
9. joint tax filed as additional proof.
10. Her H4 stamping etc can be a proof too
I am now trying to come up with a affidavit format that I need to send to some folks in India who attended our wedding and get those too... I will keep you all posted..

oh God! all of you self-righteous prigs! get a life and give this person a break. He didnt like something, so came out and expressed it, and very politely, i might add. Man, this place just needs a reason to go all-out hysterical. Seriously, what is the problem with this regulation? Employment verification is just the DMV's way of finding out if the person is in legal status. You had to show this letter when you got your visa stamped didn't you? Similarly, American citizens have to show proof of citizenship while applying for a driver's license. These are good law-enforcement measures the govt is taking to prevent out of status immigrants from getting a driver's license.

I support this campaign and will act upon any action item.One quick question, is the visa revalidation only for people who already hold H1 visa stamp on passport or COS from F1-H1 also falls in the same category?

No big change in my life. Just continuing to live my life as I have been doing all the time. I had never restricted myself due to not having green card in my hand.
- What did you do on the day you received it?
Called my wife first after seeing the emails to share the news. Then immediately called the near and dear ones in India to share the news.
- How did the long wait upset your life?
It did not impact my life as such. Since the time I entered US, I have been having a good job that pays well (I work for a top financial company). Only impact was that I could not travel to India freely due to the H1B stamping requirement. Every time I travelled to India, I had to spend additional time here in US to collect documents and the required things for visa stamping and hand to spend invaluable time in India to go through the visa stamping process.
- How did immigrationvoice help you during this long wait?
The internet site was very helpful as there were lot of people sharing information and ideas.
- Would you like to continue your support to immigration voice and help others waiting?

All,
We have a head start on Northern CA lawmakers, but we'd like to galvanize the rest of the state.
We have an excel spreadsheet with the district office info of every CA congressperson. We should just start going through that list and meeting at least a lawmaker or two a week in every sub-region.
It would be great if members from Southern CA and Central CA would get involved. Dial-in to the weekly conference call on Thursdays, and find out how we put a lawmaker meeting together, what works and what doesn't, what to take etc.
Also, if you go to the Resources section of the website -- you'll see the new presentation and edited brochure. Check them out and prepare yourself for conversations with legislators and potential members.

I am in 4'th year of H1b. I filed for I 140 and got approved in May 2006.
After that I changed my company. My new company is going to apply for my GC In jun.
I know that I can use previous priority date from employer 1. But my question is with this new CIR bill Will my case be considered under old system?

Atleast for me there is no hope for CIR, Peicemeal seems a best option, recently there was a WSJ report that President had agreed for piecemeal if CIR doesnt pass... but we need to be very very watchful...
after Healthcare experience there is little chance any big legislation will pass in this country we need people who care about country and would like to work with other end both sides seems either too liberal or conservative which is only good in winning elections...

Applied to TSC on July 23rd, got a transfer notice on Sep 28th. I applied for I131, EAD/I485. My Checks got cleared. My EAD/AP receipt still says CA, but I think they are sending I485 to original I140 apporved center ...for me TSC.

I received an RFE. But it was on accreditation of my MBA school. There was no RFE on bachelors degree. My lawyer replied to the RFE on accreditation. In response, there was straight denial without even notice of Intent to deny citing 3 year bachlor degree.
Yes, we submitted education evaluation along with I-140. The evaluation was done by Trustforte. When we received the RFE on accredidation, we sent second evaluation from Trustforte but this time a detailed course by course evaluation of MBA.
In the evaluation that was done, the evaluator equated my Indian MBA with US MBA and there was no mention about bachelors.
Please advice if I need to do something different this time.

Why the heck is USCIS bothered about your bachelors when your Labor clearly says Masters required? I think you have a strong case since the RFE did not mention anything about your bachelors. What is your attorney saying? why didnt your ed evaluator mention anything about your bachelors? Will it help if you could evalute your qualifications from another agency, wherein they could prove that you had enough credits and class hours in your bachelors to be equal to US 4 yr courses?
I am sure there are many helpful folks on this forum who could also guide you on your case. They may have had first hand experience in such situations. Do keep us posted.

Please cite the source for the claim that an applicant has some sort of a choice about the skin test. I disagree with your claim for the following three reasons.
(1) See instructions to form I-693 (the medical form): http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-693.pdf "Applicants two years old or older will be required to have a tuberculin skin test."

Define "unprofessional" and how it applies to the replies here?
In what part of the world is standing up against drug peddlers and traffickers is limited to "personal" interpretations of moral? Drug laws are not intended to satisfy some lawmakers personal morals, but it is there because selling drugs is illegal regardless of what yours, mine or anyone else's personal moral fabric is.
We are not talking here about the idea of sex before marriage, , drinking, or other values that are left to the individual's personal moral beliefs. We are not talking about that here. We are discussion DRUGS in case you were not paying attention.
Maybe you should put down that bong you've been smoking when you typed that so that you can focus on the topic at hand

When her both I140s were approved before the July/07 485 application, why didn't she use PD Porting at the time of applying 485 app in July/07. That is one of the easiest way to port PDs. It would have been straight forward and she may have received the GC by now. I know, lawyers can make one's GC Journey much more harder than it should be.
Nothing happens to your current "Adjustee" status if you interfile. But, I can understand the apprehension duw to either lack of information or plethora of wrong information present in the open.
As her EB2 PD is becoming current from Aug/08, she need not do anything now, maybe 4-5 months ago she should have done interfiling when EB2 started to come out of Unavailability. On Aug/1st, she can call USCIS and if they let her, open a Service Request on behalf of her case saying that her PD is current and her RD is July/07. If everything on her app is complete, she may get the approval in August only. Best of luck to you and her. May you guys get it soon too.
