There are 2 kinds of people in the world -
one who think that others (other people or government) is responsible for their current state and others are the ones who are willing to introspect, make appropriate changes and then succeed. Even a dumb (read "") can figure where they belong to.
An itchy dog needs to get himself rubbed against all possible objects so as to keep that itch in control. These websites are such places where these people go to satisfy their itch. Even the owners of these itchy dogs desert them (read "their god-father politicians") when they start doing this. Do you think, people like us, who are busy with their daily interesting work, family have time to look at them?
Look, the option is with us which is NOT to look at these stupid websites. None is forcing you to see these websites. So no point in complaining about them. First amendment rights for stupid is like a cigar in the hand of drunk monkey in california jungles (and we keep searching where these wild fires come from?).. so better neglect them and focus on our goal.
We are surely going to reach our goal, no matter what these stupid people say... if you think hard then you will realize then the life's goal is much beyond simply getting EB GC...

Thanks everyone for sharing your experience.. After reading your post I was much relaxed to use AP at SFO to reenter.
I just returned and immigration check went very smoothly. It took 30 mnts to get to the first IO (as couple of flights landed at the same time) . He asked me to go for the secondary inspection and I was out within 20 mnts tops. No questions asked, just asked to sit. My IO was normal but there was another female IO who was acting stuck up with others.
A very smooth experience..! wife , Son and I came back on last Sunday on AP. No issues whatsoever. Had to go through secondary inspection but was through in 35-40 mins.

Hi,
I got the standard RFE
1) End date in client letter
2) EE relationship
3) show project validity till h extension requested( 3 years)
RFE response to be received on or before July 10 2010
With all problems from vendor and client i was able to get letters but my lawyer sent the packet on July 9 and when I was tracking the status it says that UPS due to some unforeseen reason will now deliver this packet on 7/12 ..2 days after deadline, the packet has sent date 7/9 and was marked next day AIR
My question is
) Am I screwed in this case and my H1 is gone. current H1 period expires 07/15
2) Or will USCIS will accept the respnse since it was posted before on 7/9
I am so mad at my lawyer but looks like H1 is gone and I have to pack my belongings ...

Hi,
I am going to file for I-485 as the PD is current for all till 17-Aug-2007. I got my LC was approved in Oct-2006 and I-140 in Feb-2007. I am working on H1B visa and my current H1B visa is expiring on 03-Jan-2008 (about 5 months left from now).
So can I apply for I-485 with less than 6 months left in my H1B? Although I still have 2 years left in my 6 year's counter.
Also if I apply for I-485 now without filing for H1B exension can I file for H1B extension later on say (in Sep. 2007)?

Saturn has plants to produce cars, BUT NO TECHNOLOGY OF THEIR OWN. NO R&D.
Saturn sells rebranded-rebadged OPEL (GM - EUROPE, now sold to Magna) Vehicles.
While Jaguar and Land Rover are very strong brands with their own technologies and research & design capabilities. Besides Tata bought those brands when Rupee was historically high (below 40 per USD). So I don't think Tata made any mistakes.
I think it is Mahindra who is making mistake by not buying Hummer or Volvo or Saturn. I am very excited to see first Indian Vehicle to be sold in US i.e. Mahindra in 2009. No matter what, I will be the first to buy one.

As the dates become current, I see a lot of people asking the same questions again and again....why can't people do a little search on the forumn before posting repeated questions already asked before ..For eg: Filling i-485 and presence in US or filling without the help of lawyers....
I mean come on guys..we call ourselves highly skilled labours and don't even have the skill to find out answers to common questions by searching the forumns???? I am really begining to doubt the IQ of some cause if not how do u explain it...

I have been filling up I-485 all day . Online forms sent from attorney but no help with topics. I am confused by these
Visa Number - is this a number that is stamped on your passport when u entered US? My visa in passport expired long time back. I have my WAC number- is that what is required to enter?
Alien Number - is this the I-94 number?

Just got off the phone with customer service rep. I called them to know the status of my service request that was created 45 days ago. After some wait, one lady picked up my call. I asked her to check the status of my service request. She tried for 10 mins to pull up that info but she couldn't pull up because of some technical issues. She escalated my call to another level.
One rep picked up my call.He seems to be nice and answered my questions. He said my case is under review as of 8/21/2008. When I asked him to see whether my name check is cleared or not, he said it is still pending as of now. FBI name check was initiated on Sep 18, 2007 and it should expire on Nov 30, 2008. Before that they should get a response for name check.
We gave our finger prints on Nov 2, 2007. How come name check was initiated on Sep 18, 2007? I am not sure whether i can believe his words?
I have a soft LUD on 8/21/2008. According to CSR words, i can assume that case was assigned to an officer. But i am not sure about the name check process.
Is any one got the similar response?
