It looks like everyone else has covered the basics. The bottom line is: Don't Worry. You'll do fine.
As best I can remember, all of my experiences with anesthesia have been of the IV persuasion. The medicine feels warm going in, and when counting backwards from 100, I rarely make it past 96. ;)
Like others have said, when you wake up, one of your first sensations will be to wonder: "Well, when are we going to get started?" You will almost certainly say some goofy things to the nurse or whoever's monitoring you; don't worry, they're used to it.
You really do need to arrange for someone to take you home. There's no way I'd try to manage a cab ride home while still "under the influence." Even though the hospital's released you, you'll still likely be a little loopy for awhile. And you will sleep a good while once you get home.

Stereoscopy works but by god that sweet spot it requires is really fecking tight! The merest tilt throws it off and as this is a handheld console you will be throwing it off a lot, unless you unnaturally physically force your arms to hold it as rigid as possible, hold your eyes half crossed and fixed tight (which strains), and your neck stiff too. It's clear why Parralax 3D is a long way off being used for commercial TV screens. When it works it works, but it takes a wasps fart to blow it off course.
That's disappointing. I read in a review the 3d effect hurts the battery life, too.
Still on the fence about getting one...Nintendo's newest console and all...but none of the launch titles really interest me except Shadow Wars.

This is great, now :apple: seem to be back on track to continuously release improved hardware technology.
It was sad when they took away the Firewire out of the iPod.
Something like the European requirement, in the US the cable TV providers have to provide firewire equipped cable boxes, so the users can get Firewire video out them. Normally you have to ask for it, and they have to give it to you.
Thunderbolt will kick ass.

Well I rang up early today and the woman didn't really know (7,8 or 9) and told me to ring up again on Thursday. But with all the information coming out today about launch times it's looking like it will be 8.02am. So if all goes to plan i'll be there for 8, buy the phone, play for half hour, grab coffee from McDonalds then round the corner for work at 9 :)

I'm enjoying this feature, I'm one of the people who are picky about who I add. I know everyone on my list, the only thing is the people who I don't see are high school friends who go to other colleges that I keep in touch with.
Since my college crew always goes on food runs, we only tag places where we are eating or if we are at the campus. That way people can get pissed if they missed the food run and can come join us.

This is a great widget, and itself justifies the upgrade to Tiger! BTW, I believe you can update any widget by selecting it, and then hitting command-R (just FYI for the summary in the first post).

Holy ****ing ****. I had no idea you could do that. I have the iPad app, but i didn't know there was a remote function. I thought it was like the phone app where you could only set your DVR with it.

Three things come to mind.
Does the material require rendering? You'd probably get a big UNRENDERED across your monitor if it did, but you never know.
Does your sequence match the footage and is it compatible with your equipment? First thing I'd be doing is checking projects that worked previously. Then I'd shut everything down, power down the deck, have a coffee, and start up again.
Could there be any NTSC/PAL issues? I'm in PAL land and if I try to play NTSC footage from FCP -> Sony DV CAM deck -> Panasonic Monitor I always have some sort of hassle.
Popping the canvas in Wireframe mode (http://books.google.com.au/books?id=-Jlc5OJ44psC&pg=PA214&lpg=PA214&dq=fcp+view+image%2Bwireframe&source=bl&ots=6o-UOXmyWO&sig=kR1EkbQzPG3b-xIRhf8uAMT9iHM&hl=en&ei=wTqaTaqTOo6ycfax9JgH&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=6&ved=0CDkQ6AEwBQ#v=onepage&q&f=false) can have this effect too. Would you want Donald Trump as our president? I am really on the fence for this one. This is the first time I am allowed to vote so I am paying attention to politics more than ever. I mean it would be good to have a completely loaded president so he "can" spend some of his money for the economy, which Trump says he will do. We all know that all politicians are liars though. Trump has changed his mind about a lot of things such as abortion, socialism, and Obama's health care plan. A little while back Trump voted for the three previous things I said but has recently changed his mind. This makes me think he will be unstable when it comes to decisions as a president. Also I don't take him seriously. So what do you think about Trump for president?

Just downloaded the update and got Outlook to sync calendars with me iPhone :D I really have missed the ability to do that these past few weeks so I'm happy again.
I'd really like 'Travel Time' adding back into Outlook appointments as I can't see why it was removed. I found that I used that quite a bit in Entourage '08.

Actually there is an option to turn the indicator light on, in System Prefs. I think quitting, closing and opening apps is perfect the way it is.
... to apease old school folks like yourself. It's off by default. OSX has always been about not having to think about managing the OS and focusing on being productive, creative and enjoying the purpose of the computer. Letting the OS manage system resources is the next logical step.
Apps don't need to be running if they're not being used. If the OS saves all work and opening an app is nearly instantaneous, then there is no difference between a running app or a closed app running some services in the background.
Nonetheless, the ability to turn the lights back on is a temporary transitional ability. It will no doubt be gone in the OS after Lion and only few people clinging to the past will look to turn them on.

Should we tax those in high crime areas more because police respond there more often?
I was poking at SactoGuy18 and his evangelistic "Flat Tax" posts.
I went car free two years ago. I'd gladly pay a tax based on my use of the roads, whether it be by bicycle or bus. Or even the rare occasions I use ZipCar.
There's a serious rethinking going on about the use of automobiles in society. Whether it's London's congestion charge or San Francisco's dynamic parking meter rates or the total rethinking of requiring retailers to have x number of "free" parking spots.
The days of free roadways and free parking are over.

Has anyone else found that after installing this their iPhone battery can not get enough charge to turn on? I'm popping into Regent Street this afternoon, but it would be useful to know if anyone else has had the same problem.
Tried a hard reset, and it's not Jailbroken or Pwned or anything.
UPDATE: iPhone is working again. Multiple hard resets, removing sim, unplugging seemed to do the trick.
Glad you fixed the issue but I don't understand how is it possible for a app that is not running in the background to give any issue when it's closed. You know that surely it was something with your phone and had nothing to do with the Facebook app
