Yes, this issue is on IV's agenda and we will not rest till we fix it.
On 7th July, when Fightnow, had organized a small rally in San Jose.
Another IV member had asked me a similar question, Karthik are you reading this? Yes, we care, was my answer then and now.

It was good to see and meet you at the rally .I was wondering if IV or its leadership have any updates on, when any bill ( if any) will be unveiled in the house . The end of the year is fast approaching and although we hear every other day that Nancy Pelosi or Zoe Loefgren is going to unveil something , nothing seems to happen . Only letters are flying back and forth each day from Governers and Tech industry representatives , but there seems to be no action . I prefectly agree with the fact that people are getting a bit overly impatient on the issues here , but I who has been patiently waiting and waiting and working with the state chapters just see a lull and silence on the immigration front ( Skilled and Unskilled ) . No one wants to talk about it or do anything about it on the Hill.Please prove me wrong here , I WANT TO BE WRONG !!!

:) This happens like clockwork after every successful IV event. Infact, we have been waiting for such posts to appear, especially from junior members who have joined recently and its not a surprises that they have anonymous profiles ;)
Guys calm down and don't be defensive. You don't have to explain your successes to anyone. Lets be smart about this and lets learn from our past experiences.
That some anonymous member is asking such questions demonstrates that people who oppose IV agenda are usually arm-chair critics. They have absolutely no idea how phenomenal this event was.

That's true. But if there is G28 attached to your I 485, then the attorney can act on your behalf.
As per my understanding, Lawyer or employer can not withdraw I485. I may be wrong, I 485 can be only withdrawn by applicant.

question 1) did both you and your spouse's I485 cases receive the "pending at the location it was transfered to"?
question 2) did both you and your spouses I485 cases receive RFE?
question 3) did both you and your spouses case have an LUD after RFE?
have you guys received the RFE notices and if yes, what is USCIS asking

1- The "pending at the location" note has been in there since it was transferred from NSC-CSC-NSC.
2- RFE only for me at this point (online). Wife's still says "pendin at the location" but has soft LUDs
3- I got LUD after RFE

I am not sure why so many people so naively jump to the defence of India without looking at the context in which things are said.
Most Indians love India and that includes most NRIs. If there was any doubt just look at the support the NRI PAC gave in pushing the nuclear deal.
The main point here is that this thread was started on the premise that the negotiation of this deal to transfer social security payments was somehow good news for our money. I think one can disagree with this and still love India.
Frankly, if my choice was between foregoing the money here and that money going for something good such as infrastructure development in India, I and I am sure most Indians here will happily sign off on those funds.
Point however is I do not see it as good news for our social security money.

Once people are out of this GC mess, they all start talking about anti immigration and that's the reality, u go to any indian community around and see how much support you have from those folks who have GC/US citizenship.
That brings a new point for IV leadership. Not if you have signed G-28 form while applying I-485, G-28 lets your Lawyer represent you in these matters, so the rfe goes to the attorney even if you had received the receipts.

According to my lawyer, I-485 is applied by the applicant directly & not by company or lawyer. So, if you have received the I-485 receipts to your own address, then you will received RFE to your home address.

Can you copy and paste the exact letter, i mean to ask the exact letter means does it contain any agent id.
1. Did you opened any SR in TSC around 10/14 or 10/15, We have a group of people who had the same problem in TSC during those days. all the letters replied by the same agent.
2. Find out from attorney if he charges any fee for this. If so please don't go with him.
take an info pass and find out the details.
This is the best way to find out. (As i told you the group of people got the same response, most of them took info pass and found that nothing wrong in their case)

I don't care about LS. Almost all cases I know are fraud. Sometimes 2 guys got GCs on same labor(since they were not asking Original LC). Thank god USCIS banned LS.

We in IV do not differentiate on members on what methods or case scenarios they use or have used to obtain a Green Card. We need all our energies to be focussed to support IV initiatives. We need to refrain from any language that introduces confusion or division within the community. Even though "freedom of speech" or opinions are encouraged, we absolutely cannot say anything we want and get away with it in a common forum, can we?:)

To all those republican homies on this thread....
a) Republican base is not you and me, in case you haven't noticed they either cater to big biz or to a specific "kind" of Americans.
b) Tea Party is basically opposed to many things including free trade and immigration. Like any other politician they might change when they have power, if they don't then hope things don't get worse.
c) Nikki Haley and Bobby Jindal don't represent us, they are American for all practical purposes. If anything they have distanced themselves from any indian heritage in their campaigns. Nothing to expect here.
d) Who is grassley who keeps making things tougher for us ? Not a democrat on last check.
e) In this era of high unemployment, of around 17% why would any party touch anything remotely connected to a despicable term called "H1B" ? Suicidal ?
Obama had a brilliant opportunity the first 2 years to do something, but he spent all his political capital on health care and financial reform. An opportunity lost.
The republican party of now is not the party during 80's or otherwise, they are a bunch of people who believe evolution is a myth with Sarah Palin as their leader, add the tea party element and they are about as right as you can get.
Forget about any bills, just hope there is no federal government lockout and USCIS stops working for a month.

I would urge you to change the title as most of your problems are due to your own decisions and not due to agency.
This may not be true. This is the problem being faced by many singles. Ofcourse those singles are postponing their plans just because of USCIS policies which in the case of singles is ridiculous. There is no meaning to make a person wait for 5-10 years to get one's spouse just because he applied for a Green Card. I see various kinds of visas for the spouses in other categories like H1 has H4
L1 has L2/L4 ( I dont know what that is)
and so on so forth..
but for a spouse of AOS? nothing.
All the crap of going on H1 are ridiculous. At the first place one has to get a sponsor for H1 and then there are all those issues out of being H1 with the employer and USCIS. There is no benefit of being on AOS. They cannot use EAD. They cannot start companies freely, etc because they are supposed to be on H1 or L1 etc.
