Yesterday after a long time I was reading the Labor cert section on immigrationportal.com. I havent felt the need to read that section since my LC was approved in October 2005.
I was amazed at the number of EB3 cases being approved with PD's in 01 and 02 as well as EB2 cases in 02 and 03.
No doubt dates arent moving. More and more ppl are choking the pipeline. We are screwed if numbers arent increased.

My wife has been offered a position by her client, a company which received TARP funding and repaid it. These are her immigration details:
H1b start date: 01-Oct-2004
Perm applied: Jan-2008
Audited Twice: First time because of FRAGOMEN and second time asking for some documents
Perm Status: Pending
Original H1b expiration: 30-Sep-2010
H1B extended because Perm has been pending for more than a year
Current H1b expiration: 30-Sep-2011
I do understand it is better to transfer with an approved I-140 because it allows for porting priority date and 3 year extension of H1 with new company but I am not sure new company can wait that long.
In the current situation, is it possible to transfer H1b and get the validity until 30-Sep-2011? Appreciate your responses.

If you are running out of time to save Candian PR under 3 years out of country stay rule, then only we have to think this canda stay.
If you can stay here and still save candian PR for this 1.5 years, just get into the system and try out here in US. That is the best bet rather than not trying at all.
Who knows you may get Labor/I140 in this 1.5 years and may get everything well.
DOL procedures - We really do not know how serious that **Supervised Recruit** is, unless it is experienced by people.
If you loose candian PR in 6 months or so, unless you land there, then we have to think about it.
Now please give me green, as i do not have many; ;)

I would suggest that a very slight amount of fill flash would make the eyes not be so dark. However, if you have a decent photo editing program, you could experiment with the "dodge" function to selectively lighten the eyes just enough to make them come out of the shadow, but not enough to be obvious. Also, consider attempting some "soft filter" attempts in said imaging program, to make the portrait more flattering (in other words, to subdue some facial imperfections).

Also when you renewed EAD & AP:
1. Did you do it yourself? or did u have your new employer do it?
2. Did u get any RFE's when you renewed your EAD/AP well after you switched employers. (I assume you changed addresses in this process).

Are u the primary or dependant. If you are the dependant no issues cool and enjoy time with baby. If you are the primary then no issues till you get the GC. For primary it is not mandatory to work during the time 485 is pending. But once GC is approved then u need to start full time position with the employer.

for my 8th Year extension I applied on 16th Nov.2007
and got approval notice on 28th Nov.2007 with 1 Yr extension.
Actually based on December bulletin my attorney asked for 3 yrs. but got 1 yr. as in Nov my PD is current.
Off-course on 30th my I485 is approved.
So there is no doubt your attorney is so wrong.......

I think I am in the same boat,
I am almost ready to file 3 years H-1 extension based on I-140 approval and priority date not current (as of day before yesterday that is what we all knew). Since I don't have 365 days for the labor filing, I am not eligible for 1 year extension.
I wrote that to my lawyer and they told me that we can still file before the end of June using premium processing since the priority date are current effective July 1st. But they don't know how USCIS will act. They may approve the extension for 3 years or they may deny the extension.
What you guys suggest.
Completed initial 6 years of H-1 in December 2005
Priority Date October 19th, 2006
I-140 approval - April 13th, 2007
Current H-1 expires October 15th, 2007

There are two pointless threads on this site, one is titled "The yanks are coming" and another as "US political system is broken". They both contain long rants of a single user. I seriously doubt if anybody ever reads them, as is evident from the absence of any other user's reply to these threads. Why don't we just remove them, or block them from showing up on the main page. At least it will free up space for more useful threads.
Those are excellent threads buddy. If you look at the content the poster seems to spend significant time to gather the facts and the presentation is extremely detailed. Somebody mentioned the lighten up thread its also great, all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. I agree that some information may not be strictly immigration related its ok. The expenses are definitely required - i probably did more renewals and visas than you but that was borne by my H sponsor employers in all cases. Why did you pay on your own ?? Generally peoples who gets paid in Bill rate and make very good money they pay on their own and they don't care 20-25K given the enormous money that they made in 6+ years of H clock.
Regarding GC - my employer paid LC fees, 140 fees and i picked up the fees for 485/EAD/AP because i wanted control on the AOS. I dont want RFE letters to go my employer or their pet lawyer when i've ported off to somewhere else.

Generally it is little difficult to sponsor a GC through one's own business. USCIS wants to know if it is a legitimate business, with revenues, employees, contracts etc
