I'm very detailed when it comes to taking care of my iTunes library. I have almost 6,000 songs and I average about 80 new songs a month (mostly cd compilations). I rarely every buy actual physical cds unless it's for an album I really love, so it gets the shelf treatment.
I use all the fields rather normally. I prefer to only have a few basic Genres which I then break down under the "Grouping" tag. I use various tags for various reasons. I use the grouping for the sub-genre, and naming the record label. The lyrics tab is used as a way to put track-lists in songs that are one continuous track. The comments section is used for tracks that are complete (aka they have all the track information and album art embedded into the file itself). And once every year I have a program that runs through and finds the BPM of each track.
Now don't even get me started on playlists and playlist folders.

Best serial and terminal emulator available on the Mac. This was my one holdout from the PC world for the longest time
I just found a student pricing form buried on the site for a $20 educational license here (http://www.vandyke.com/pricing/educational/applications/student.html). Will hatve to shoo them an email.
Thanks for all the replies, Guess I just need to create a basic template with ssh access enabled and a dhcp pool to enable direct ssh access. I'll have to try cu now that I have my new mac. thanks for the tip Andrew

...The Wii really is just a portable DS in so many ways...
I know the Wii is small but more portable than the DS?
I'll xth the Target recommendation from this thread. Mine came from Target, with the help of some co-workers, and the only stories I've ever heard of people seeing them on the shelves were at Target.
They are definitely doing something right, heck my mother-in-law knows what a Wii is (even how to spell it) and that's really out of the ordinary for her.

MacBook Airs:
extremely portable
slower processors than the iMac
SSD is faster than the iMac's traditional hard drive, but less storage capacity
memory can't be upgraded after purchase
no Thunderbolt ports
iMacs:
not very portable
faster processors than the Air
traditional hard drive is slower than the Air's SSD, but has more storage capability
memory can be upgraded after purchase
has Thunderbolt ports
Either machine is capable of photos and videos.
The iMac is going to have a faster processor, so it's going to be faster at CPU intensive tasks, like converting/export video. For me, I don't do these tasks often.
The Airs have the solid-state drives, which are insanely quick. This can make the Air feel like a faster-overall system when doing normal daily tasks, like surfing the web, email, iTunes, etc.
There's really no clear-cut answer. You're going to have to figure out if you need something portable or not, and if you want a Mac with a faster processor or a faster hard drive.
For me, the slower processor of the Air was outweighed by the very fast SSD. I'll gladly wait longer for the Air to complete CPU intensive tasks that I do a few times a month in exchange for doing the tasks I do daily much quicker than any other Mac I've ever used.

On a fully updated install of 10.4.3 on my latest rev iBook, I have never seen myspace freeze. I was going to use firefox until I found out that when I visited myspace in firefox CPU usage spiked. For some reason it doesn't do that in safari, so until that changes, I'm staying with safari.
But the point of all this was, I have no problems at all on safari.
I do not have WMP installed, therefore I get that plugin not found message, I just hit cancel, never once has myspace frozen on me.

I'm wondering if anyone here has abandoned a point and shoot camera for their iPhone camera? Is it good enough to replace the average digital camera yet (obviously not professional grade cameras?
All the rumours about the iPhone 5 having an 8MP camera have me curious how good the iPhone 4 camera actually is? My 3GS is decent for quick snaps of things here and there but still awful compared to even a budget point and shoot camera.
On a side note, has anyone used those telescopic lenses for the iPhone, and if so, what were the results like?

Sorry, but I'll be checking in on the rumour sites during the show. delayed gratification is one thing, but, i won't be able to wait.
Well, I originally was supposed to go, but my travel buddy bailed out and now I can't go... i wanted to be there, but alas... it was too good to be true.
The next best thing is to watch the keynote 12+ hours later (and pretend it were live).

Is the server Apache? If so, just pop a .htaccess file in the dir with this in it.
Options All -Indexes
what permissions do I set on that file?
and do I need to put it in every directory? I was hoping for something global.

I love macs they are so cool. I'm a little skeptical over the iPod. But that's a different matter. I know Apple are always using iThis and iThat. However I think it is a bit cheeky that they are using there legions of lawyers to steal Cisco's trademark. I know that it has the i before Phone but thousands of products exsist with the i before product names. It's only because Apple wants the name. Hypothetically if you made a computer screen and called it iScreen. Then if apple made a screen and wanted to use your name How would you feel if they took it from you due to their stronger legal forces? Not happy I presume. That is the same thing happening to Cisco. I do have an idea which could help Apple. If they want to hear it they can email me.
What is your opinion on Cisco and Apple's dispute?

Hi, I am wondering if anyone can help me out. There is a widget in a Wordpress theme I would like to very slightly modify.
You can see the widget here http://www.purewatercanada.com/wordpress/ . It's the quote widget on the right side. I'd like to add a line of text at the bottom of it that says "View more testimonials" with a link to the testimonials page.
This is the code for the widget:
class theme_quote_widget extends WP_Widget {
