Pretty pathetic.... when that happened to us, we bought a used one.. if you buy from a store, they'll provide some kind of warranty in many cases... we've had used ones last longer than new ones.

So my 2007 Xbox 360 decided to konk out on me today. It turns on and it makes the booting noise, but alas I just have a black screen (yes I've check cables). Fine, ***** happens. So I go to Best Buy to pick up the 4gb 360 slim. Low and behold they don't have it, all they have is the stupid 4gb Kinect bundles or the 250gb holiday bundle. They have stacks upon stacks of these goddamn bundles, but no stand-alone 4gb systems. Next stop, Target. Same story there, Kinect and holiday bundles galore, but no stand-alone systems. Next stop Wal-Mart, same story. Next Stop Meijer, same stupid story. Finally I go to Gamestop, and guess what only Kinect and Holiday bundles.
To say that I am pissed right now is a major understatement. Why do they have to stock all of these stupid *********g bundles? No one wants the damn things. Why can't they just stock more stand-alone systems? Maybe it's not the fault of the stores, maybe this is Microsoft's falut, because they won't make enough stand-alone systems. If that is the case, why do they have to be so stupid????

Haven't had experience with either kb; I heard mechanical keys are better for typing. Still, if you are looking for a nice keyboard, you could try the Kensington Slimtype. It's nice, and doesn't cost a lot.

thanks for your reply. I heard that the kensington slimtype is similar to the icekey in the sense they are both scissors switch keys. However I cannot seem to find one in the uk for sale. :(

So when you turn the machine upside down (with it facing you as normal) and take the battery our there is not a little door exposed facing you? Are there instructions printed under where the battery is?

10GB iPods? N64 expansion paks? Heh, doesn�t look like a new post thats for sure.
As for your question it improves the image quality somewhat but some games (like Majora�s Mask) require it so its not a bad purchase... as for getting one, try ebay...

Planning on ordering a new 2011 iMac with a 256GB SSD and 2TB drive.
Current 2010 iMac hard drive has one drive with about 375GB.
In previous migrations - it was as simple as booting the source Mac with the "T" and allowing the transfer via Firewire.
The full image will not fit on the 256GB SSD. I know I can manually move user files to an external drive and reduce the image for a full copy and then move that data to the HD on the new iMac.
Any better suggestions?

I agree that SL isn't the best of Apple's OS's. Hopefully it is Apple's Vista and Lion will be Apple's 7.

Just to put my exrierence out there i had, yours look like an exact picture of mine and then i when i sent mine in to get the screen fixed they would not do it due to the fact that the damage could be down in the logic board. So i ended up paying the 250 for the replacement.

You could certainly make an application that is mostly HTML5/Javascript, that was the way that Apple originally intended for the iPhone 1. For webapps hosted externally you don't even need Xcode or a Developer license, but you can wrap a webapp into a "regular" app and then you would.

its a 3GS.. damn that sucks, ok. the only reason is because my cousin just updated to 4.2 firmware and he said he cant jailbreak his phone at all. he's tried greenpoison, limerain, he said nothing seems to work so if i update im worried i wont be able to jailbreak my phone anymore
I don't understand... 4.3.2 and different versions lower can be JB'ed. Are you trying to unlock as well? Then you may have issues based on the baseband.

It's a good guess. I was a happy NNW user, but despite having paid for the software, I still switched to Google Reader about a year ago. I tried out the new version of NNW, but there are really no features compelling enough to get me to switch back. Now if they come out with native iPhone version I might change my mind (I'm still not thrilled with Reader's Phone interface).
Exactly my thoughts... they can win me back if they develop a native iPhone client that works the way I'd like it to. Until then, I'll stick with Google Reader (which I switched to from NNW shortly after the iPhone's release).

Does anyone know "if" or when a refresh for Time Capsule 1T is coming out? It has been some time now, and I have read users have had issues with it.
Some users have had their hard drives go out, losing their data after about 1.5 years of use. :confused: It is in multiple feedback entries on Apple's Store site...
Any thoughts? I would like to purchase one, but I am reconsidering...would like some advise. Thanks

I was using my case till I bought a Zagg Invisible shield and the case wouldn't fit around the shield, so I had to get a new case, no big deal though.

Just a quick question, I need to buy a memory stick, for tranfers of work from my iMac at home to a Windows Dell at school, but I was wondering, to get a shuffle and use it as a memory stick as well as mp3 player. However can the shuffle transfer documents of Mac based data, eg Pages to a Windows computer? I know you can use it as a memory stick but is that just for Apple to Apple transfers or Windows to Windows, depending upon its settings?
Also another quick question as it's been bothering me alot recently, what does the "i" in iMac, and iPod stand for as well as teh "e" in eMac? Thanks

kinda funny, now when I use a pc I expect it to crash, its like I'm waiting on it to, I was at a friends house with windows 98 and he was trying to copy a cd, so he did the usual stuff with nero and called me when it didn't work, after an hour of crashing I finally got it to work, made me want to use my iBook that much more when I got back home. I should have switched much sooner, my blood pressure would have dropped faster lol!

It may be a lack of scope or focus. For example, I almost started a "using Gmail with Mail.app" article, but, you know, Google maintains such an article. Why not link to that? There are several other guides out on the net from various sources. Do we re-author them?
