Hello,
I filed my 485/EAD/AP last year and recently changed my address. Besides filing an AR11, what are the other steps I need to do? Should I be calling USCIS to make sure the new address gets reflected on my 485 application?

Guys,
I want to sue them for 3 things -
1) Touching I-140 cases way outside processing times (eg. 2008 when the date is July, 2007)
2) Approving 2008 cases before 2007, ie., no FIFO
3) Discrimination against EB3 cases during I-140 stage. I-140 case processing should be independent of Eb category, I have not read any rule where it should be.
Any idea how to start this process of accountability and justice. After 10 yrs., >$15k invested in a black hole, dealing with **** employers in a fragile economy, but mainly precious time which can never be recovered - I have HAD ENOUGH!!

I am planning to go outside US for three weeks, I am planning to enter using AP (I485 is pending), my H1B extension is pending (no receipt). my H1 is expired.
The questions are :
1. With above conditions, will everything be ok when I come back esp with my H1B extension process ? can I get H1B approval ? this is my fourth extension.
2. Do I need to surrender my expired I-94 at POE ?
3. When I come back from vacation, can I still use H1B status for working ? because I will enter using AP (status : parolee) and my H1B extension is pending.

BTW , Raja Krishnamoorthi is a very close friend of Barack Obama. He is currently competing for State Comptroller (A public position) in IL.

You can add a MouseLeftButtonDown event to pretty much any element! Just select and use the Events tab to set your event handler name: http://www.kirupa.com/net/creating_simple_wpf_gui_app_pg5.htm
Both Blend and VS will auto-generate the event handler where you can insert some code :)

Priority Date Current: Curse or Boon ?
I am EB3 India applicant with PD of August 2001 (own not substitution). Have I 140 approved since November 2005 but was only able to file I 485 in June 2007. With same employer for 10 yrs and on 9th yr of H1.
Earlier this year my PD was correct for 2 months but didnt hear anything from USCIS. My PD is current again this Nov and Dec and havent heard anything yet. Called USCIS customer svc and they said cant do anything as processing date is not current (Yes and they are going by Notice date and not Received date for service request). Lawyer says just stay cool and wait. So USCIS has no logic and no order and all we can do is wait for our stars to be aligned and case getting picked up in a sweep. Other than that being current is a curse rather than a boon because

Forgive my ignorance, but would you be able to use the extension tubes mentioned above with a third party lens like the Sigma Gary mentioned? Obviously the Sigma lens would have to be a Nikon mount since the tubes mentioned above are Nikon, but assuming the mounts were the same would that work?

Has any one here changed their maiden name or their spouses maiden name in the US? I heard that it takes 1 week if one hands over passport and documents in person. I plan to go to SFO CGi to get this done before filing I-485 on Jul 1st.
I recently got married and did not have time in India to change the name.
Any experiences/advise is appreciated. My apologies if this is already discussed in previous threads.

My H1B expired in April 2008. My company is not willing to extend H1B any more due to the reason that I got EAD and I-140 approved and pending 485. Is it possible to get H1B extension from current or future company based on approved I-140? Or Is it too late?
You might wondering why do I need H1B now. I am not sure why I need H1B. Some of my friends who had trouble in their I-140/485 were able to survive with H1B. So, it looks like it is better to have dual. H1B and EAD.
Please advise.

See Q.18. I think your case is one of the TSC-VSC-TSC or NSC-CSC-NSC transfers. Your attorney needs to follow up with USCIS and USCIS will issue new receipts with the correct receipt dates. Contrary to earlier post, cases are processed per receipt dates, not notice dates. Check your latest 485 receipts for the dates.

I was mainly concern about the wording on the online statis "received on..."

Hello,
I am July 2nd 2007 AOS filer. My AOS application (including dependants') was received by USCIS mailroom on July 2nd 2007 at 10.20 am (according to FedEx Tracker), but the I-485 Receipt Date is Aug. 8th, 2007, and Notice Date is Oct 2nd, 2007. (USCIS took almost a month to enter our cases in their system). Now, USICS has sent rejection notices that our PD is not current in Aug.2007. Our cases are EB2, and PD is 05/2004, and PD was current in July.2007, as most of the July.2007 filers might know. The denial notice also has I-290B for us to file Appeal or Motion. I have contacted my law firm also. I remember seeing a similar thread, but couldn't find it now. I appreciate your suggestions and guidance. I have also sent a private message to Pappu, asking IV's help on this matter.

"As I am NOT on job at present, I can not produce any client letter at consulate in case if they ask. "
Let me add more on my scenario, I don't know how correct to use the word "laid off", my contract was ended in DEC-08 with client, but still my H1B holding company is paying me and said that they will support sending me all needed documents for H1B extension Stamping, asked me to take a vacation for a month or so (as any way i am going back to India for extension).
As "LostInGCProcess" said as long as my company is paying me, Will i have chances to get my extension stamping? or Shall I have to be on the job with Client and have to carry a letter of proof showing which client i work for?

One of my friends case was pending for more than 6 months with USCIS for H1B renewal, masters, and working at a client place. The employer checked with USCIS and they give a message " that the case needs further investigation".
What does this mean.

It means that they are either not satisfied that the job meets the speciality occupation criteria or the credentials of the employee/employer/any of the document s provided. They will conduct an investigation and your friend will hear from them upon completion of thier investigation.

I know it includes FB application but that is easily offset by EB-CP also seeking visa numbers.
So the wait time is really very long for July 2007 filers with later PD.

BTW: I thank you for the constructive tone of your message when providing the feedback.
this is a very good idea..but theres only one problem..we had gone to a blood donation drive to give blood..but were not allowed to because they do not take blood from people who have visited third world countries like India in the past 3 yrs.
so we can organise a campaign like this..but blood can be donated only by people who havent visited any third world countires in the past 3 yrs.

I dont mean to be greedy or selfish but from a purely technical analysis this is extremely bad news for EB2\Eb3 India and China folks. Eb4 and Eb5 account for 10% of the 140000 EB green cards every year. If EB4 and Eb5 were discontinued these visas would have spilled over into Eb1,2,3 category. With the Eb4 and Eb5 extension in the senate bill we are screwed royally. There is heavy misuse in the Eb4 category, so much so that it Eb4 and EB5 may retrogress for India!!!!, there will never be any spillover from this category.
What amazes me is congress has been consistently backing eb4 and eb5 every year by extending it but nobody cares about eb2 and eb3. Not even provisions like STEM are making it.
To people who say stem will not happen, visa recapture will not happen and only solution is CIR because hispanic caucus or anti immigrants will not allow piece meal immigration legislation, I wonder how EB4 and Eb5 are consistenly being passed every year by the congress.

After opening 3 SR's and letter through Attorney and finally infopass appointment (not yet done) got the FP notice for my self today (for the first time and applied for EAD renewal).
My dependent (my spouse) has not received her FP notice yet.
Questions:
1. FP is scheduled for Aug 16 2008 (which is Saturday) and is it common to have FP notice scheduled over the weekend in Dallas TX.
2. My spouse did not receive her FP notice, can I take her along with me for the appointment with all the Recipts (I mean all the req docs), will that work
3. And I have infopass appointment on Aug 12 would that help in finiding more details about my case?
Gurus, Please answers/provide your experience/suggestions to the above questions.
Last but not the least, I would like to thank all those who have suggested me in opening SR, take help of attorney, and to take infopass.
I would also like to thank (posted on other thread) who has suggested to called FBI to find out details, which has really helped me.
