Since lot of baby boomers are set to retire, any thing can happen.
Someday they (means all of the anti - immgt minds, lou doggs, ron hiras etc) have to admit the reality that this country needs skilled workers and justice is delayed for employment based immgiration
I know the fact for some years that there are so many IT consulting jobs begging to be filled, but never. Because there is a restriction that only citizens are allowed to apply for those. Where i live in US, i see boeing and Northrup Grummen ads for years, same repeating and begging for "citizens" to apply but never gets applicants.
I bet they won't let a VB programmer in!!!

My greencard application has stuck in name checks for 3 years. I recently filed a Writ of Mandamus. Before going to court, U.S. Attorneys filed to dismiss my case, citing that the adjustment of status is discretionary and the FBI can take as long as they want to do background checks.
I am hesitating whether to go ahead with a court hearing. In addition, I am not happy with my current lawyer.
Can someone recommend a good lawyer to me? Many thanks!

Hi Kitiara,
I get asked to make quite a few banners for different companies and through trial and error I have found that once you have created your images in photoshop and saved them at the lowest file size as possible without losing any quality, open the images up in fireworks and create the animation there using frames as I find fireworks optimises gifs muchbetter than photoshop,
(And believe me it hurts me to say that as i'm a big photoshop fan).
I'm sure your aware also that the more frames you use the bigger the file size is going to be so its always best to use the least ammount of frames needed and adjust the frame speed of each frame to get the required effect.
By the way I love looking at the images you create when you post them do you have a tutorial website where I could create one for my nickname of The Bandit:bandit:

I had same problem,Employer not giving I-140 reciept notice.
How to get it from USCIS.

The Problem is my employer is not sharing this information with me.I want to make decision of moving the employer only if i know that my 140 is approved. My fear is that my employer may tell me that 140 is still pending even if it is approved.

I am in exact same situation as you. My 5 yrs on H1 are completing on December 2009 and have around 4 months outside US. We are expecting lay offs in a month or two, I am planning to wait it out and use this time to prepare for the interviews. I reached out to couple of consultants to do my GC as future employee but could not find any one. If anyone knows of someone who can help me please suggest.

Hey Gurus,
What are the chances for ROW-EB2 to go backlog in OCT 2007. My wife's employer is filing for the LABOR this month. We are keeping our finger's crossed that it will be current in OCT this year.
What do you guys think about that? Thanks.

It was current for more than the past two years, wasn't it. I think it is highly unlikely that it will be backlogged. If if it will, it could be by a very short period, 6 months maybe. This is what I think.

140 APPROVED.
In addition to the first RFE as above,i received one more RFE.In the second RFE they mentioned that education and experience satisfies labour,but wanted more documents from company to prove A2P.Company sent tax returns and got the approval in 6 days.Yet to receive the notice.

Thanks a lot for reply. I just want to make sure she can go to canada, cause she has a bachelors degree from India. Forgetting the security checks, I was reading that for such ppl they say go back to home country for stamping. Mostly ppl with us degrees are fine. WOuld she be safe cause she had one h1 stamped in india few years back?

I wouldn't export it from photoshop at all.
Are you sure the tutorial called for you to export from photoshop? Can you provide a link to the tut?
I would:
Save for web as a png or a jpg, depending upon which looks better. Then choose "import" in Flash to import the object. I'm not 100% sure, but I think that you can directly import photoshop files into Flash as well. This could be useful if you have a many layered photoshop file which contains things like imported illustrator elements and such. I believe that the import keeps all the layers in place, as grouped object.

my friends have multiple experiences, I went through Lufthansa, had no problem. My friend was telling me in France you do require, they wont let you board the flight if you dont have transit! Even if you check the consulate, the airlines have no clue. Asian countries like Singapore, absolutely no problem, direct non stop flights no problem either.

I am currently looking for a job and I have a US Master's degree. I am stuck in this retrogression and my lawyer applied for EB3, and I have no choice but looking for another job that requires me a M.S. with higher salary so I could apply for EB2
Do you know where I can see which is the minimum wage for applying as EB2?? I remember in my Labor certification there was a place where I used to check minimal wage requirements.
I am rest of the world, and having an EB2 application will let me jump out of the retrogression if EB2 continues to be available

The expenses are definitely required - i probably did more renewals and visas than you but that was borne by my H sponsor employers in all cases. Why did you pay on your own ?? Generally peoples who gets paid in Bill rate and make very good money they pay on their own and they don't care 20-25K given the enormous money that they made in 6+ years of H clock.
Regarding GC - my employer paid LC fees, 140 fees and i picked up the fees for 485/EAD/AP because i wanted control on the AOS. I dont want RFE letters to go my employer or their pet lawyer when i've ported off to somewhere else.

Recently I have got Denial notice from INS on my I-140 application. All the documents are fine. Just They have mentioned as My Education Qualification is not equivalent to US Education. My Education is B.Sc. Physics and MBA.
Is anybody has got same problem, and if yes Please let me know what to do in this situation.
