If he got a simple adapter it'd be possible. Though, I don't think they make just simple Composite-HDMI or whatever the iMac uses like they do VGA-DVI. If he got a converter box ($100-$300) it's possible.
OP, why would you want to run a Genesis on the iMac? Do that retro goodness some justice and buy a CRT . Seriously, good quality ones are 15 bucks on Craigslist. Computer monitors are even given out now.
Adapters to do it don't really exist - we have adapters to take HDMI/DVI sources to MDP, but that's it. You'd have to get hold of a composite to HDMI upscaler, and then run it through the HDMI to MDP adapter. That's a lot of steps for it to go wrong, not work or simply look awful - and it'd also be expensive.
My advice would simply be to buy a screen for the NES.

When you put files on the server for the first time, it asks you if you want to include dependent ones, and also to check a box to stop asking again in future- someone must have clicked the box!
What you need to do is go into Dreamweaver; preferences, and then click on the 'site' panel in the list on the left of the box. You should then see in the list of preferences you have options for dependent files, asking 'prompt on get/check out' and 'prompt on put/check in'. Make sure these are both checked on, and then close the preferences window.
The next time you get or put, you will be asked again if you want to include dependent files, and make sure you leave the option on to ask again- this way you'll get asked every time, and sometimes you'll want to use it and sometimes you won't.
hope this helps!

I'm the owner of the site..
The forum software had a filter on it that linked [at] with mailto.. my coadmin set that up. I removed it and fixed it.
Macoverage is the site that I probably won't be working on much, but if you know about my sites (such as the old "Make the Switch")- I often get Apple exclusives.. I need a news site to publish the articles that I find myself from inside sources at Apple and an ADC Premier account.. so I chose to start Macoverage.

Check out MacTracker (http://mactracker.ca/). It's a cool little app that tells you all sorts of things about Macs, past and present.
Apparently it was a 5400RPM 60GB drive, with the option to upgrade the size to 80GB or even 100GB. :)
Cool, I had never heard of the program but it is excellent for what I'm doing. Thanks for your help. Thanks to everyone else too!

Also, if you're with AT&T, they give you the option of making the change to your account immediately or wait until your next billing cycle begins.

I would be nice if it did get an update, but that would make me mad. I just got a new one like a week and a half ago (I would have waited, but I needed it for school). The Powerbooks need updating. Also, if they did ugrade the ibooks, they would be fater that the Tibooks, which is not going to happen. There could be a joint upgarde though.

Then try Disk Utility and delete the Windows partition, then drag the divider of the Mac OS X partition to the bottom.

If you want cheap, you can check out the various iHome ones. Check on amazon. I don't know how they are because I don't own any.

Greetings! I live in a blended family (I use mac :apple:, roommate uses pc  - haven't converted her yet). She and I would like to live in harmony and use a shared desktop workstation.
I've hooked all external components (mouse, keyboard, printer) via USB to a Lenovo K33415 Port Replicator. NEC AccuSync LCD also connected to Port Replicator via VGA.
When I plug her PC in, it recognizes all components immediately. My MacBook recognizes all components except the monitor.
Do I have to use a Mini DisplayPort to connect the monitor to the Mac? Or can I make it work as is with the USB?
Thank you sooooo much!!!! :o
Does the port replicator work with displaylink software? that's pretty much the standard for USB video: http://www.displaylink.com/ The os x driver is here: http://www.displaylink.com/support/mac_downloads.php
Note usb video is really slow to respond vs the displayport or dvi or vga because of the limited bandwidth and you will need the built-in screen on that macbook to install the driver but you should be able to watch youtube videos. Also, forget games, it does NO 3d.

Yesterday was my official 2-year anniversary for folding.
314,000 points isn't too bad considering the limited number and limited power of my machines...at least by modern standards. My current production is low, and my rank has been dropping, but I am still pretty happy with the sheer amount of work I've contributed.
Not tooting my own horn, just wanted to mark the occasion. Congrats to all of you who are passing me...keep it up!
Super! :D
I was a member with SETI one and ended up over 12,000 wu's. Now that SETI one is over, I've been wondering what to do with my spare CPU time.
Appreciate your post to get me thinking about Folding.

I'm trying to find a way to play a VC-1 encoded video stream on a Snow Leopard system.
Google tells me, manually installing Flip4Mac and the outdated Quicktime Pro v7 could work. Both are not really welcome on my system, so I'd like to find a way to play VC-1 encoded video by other means.
Has anyone found a way to accomplish this... or maybe a way to convert the stream (on mac!)?VC-1 is supposed to be an open standard. However, it clings closely to its proprietary Microsoft roots. The free version of Flip4Mac can play Windows Media 9 Advanced (VC-1). Your inability to play this format indicates that your VC-1 file may be Windows Media 10 or higher. Nothing on the Mac can play Windows Media 10 or higher. You do, however, hang by one last thread. Microsoft Silverlight is supposed to support VC-1. Hopefully, the latest Mac version of Silverlight supports your VC-1 file.

Have you always got them or is this a new thing? Perhaps you have new shoes or a new carpet? Or is it especially dry weather? YOU could be building up static charge and discharging it on any grounded object!
