Not sure what you are looking at, since 3 drives is sort of an odd combination. I have a 2009/2010 Mac Pro Nehalem, running the apple sas card for the 4 internal bays (yes I know they make adapters to use 3rd party cards), and the performance is fair, not great but fair. About 300Mb/s read/write with 4 WD Black edition drives (1tb each). Externally, running an Areca 1680x card, with a 8 drive ProAvio chassis, 8 SAS Seagate 15k7 drives (450GB) which gives close to 900MB/s. I have tried multiple cards over the years, nano and I have exchanged lots of posts/messages. Email/PM me with specific questions and I will try and help you. Beware of most of these 3rd party slot adapters/etc. they are more hassle than they are worth.

Recently I have had an issue where if I get 1 piece of new mail the Dock Icon tells me that there is 3 instead of one. If I quit and relaunch Mail it will display correclty...any ideas?

Definitely do not send it back to the guy. If you're going to do anything, send it to your friend and have her make the exchange and check the phone and make sure it's working as it should. (Hopefully she knows a thing or two about iPhone's)

Spymac forums are just plain lousy.
You get alot of those smoking smiley-only posts. Those drive me nuts. They just do it to get high post counts, so they can become Detective or some **** like that.
Spymac mods should get rid of all that ********... its stuff like that that I don't bother posting comments or posts of any significant nature. I deleted Spymac from my bookmarks. That site has become overladen with useless drab graphics and cheesy sales pitches.
I think the only redeeming quality of Spymac is the presence of JuicyApple, but that's about it.

Custom 10.6.5 made specifically for that model line. As far as I know, there are only 10.6.0 and 10.6.3 retail Snow Leopard disks.

Some new news on the iMac. I got a mini vga to vga adapter today to plug into an external monitor and i get nothing. Nothing on the iMac display and nothing on external display when turned on. What does this mean?

..also if i am going to be there for hours i want to be able to smoke and the grove is open air...
On a sidenote, I'm just asking as a courtesy, if you do plan on smoking to either step out of line or ask people around you first. I'm not going to the grove or anything, but I have waited in lines outdoors for events where it wasn't easy to just move/leave but standing where I can smell the smoke from someone smoking nearby is absolutely unbearable.

Interestingly the new Tiger build has a Colorsync profile that removes the pink tint (clean install).

What will happen is you'd have to go thru alot of BS and probably spend plenty of money to replace it. If you have a bad feeling and unsure about bringing it somewhere either dont bring it or use a different cell that you dont care about losing.
Not sure what the deal is with your carrier or if you have insurance or not that would cover theft and if it has a deductable etc...
You should call them to get details though.
