I want to consolidate all my little gadgets into one. What would be the best solution? GPS dock? Some secret obscure 3rd party attachment?
Thanks for your help guys

Yes, you can use your iSight with iVisit.
Make sure you read these threads. You do realize you could have browsed the iVisit message boards to answer your question, correct?

There simply isn't a screw to tighten somewhere? Well I guess I need to take it in to an Apple store as that kind of work is beyond me. Thanks.

If you don't see the drive appearing at all in Disk Utility when booted from the install DVD (as opposed to the drive appearing, but with no volume listed under it), there's a very good chance that the hard drive failed. It could theoretically be a different piece of hardware, but that's much less likely. You can also bring up System Profiler, select the Serial ATA section, and see if anything shows up connected to the port.
If you have a USB-SATA converter or toaster-style drive dock laying around, the easy way to confirm would be to remove the hard drive, hook it up to another computer via that, and see if anything shows up. The hard drive is easy enough to pull, and you'll have to do that anyway, so it's an easy experiment to try if you have access to the hardware. If you don't, it's cheap (you can find docks or adapters for around $30), but you'd have to wait for it to show up, so maybe that's not the most efficient option.

I'm glad to see that at least one webmaster has created a website designed for Safari users. This will only help to drive up Safari's adoption among Mac OS X users, and, by extension, Mac OS X itself. I'm not really a theme fan, and I'm using Windows, so I can't really comment on the themes.

You are correct, but your MBP in target disk mode. It will then mount on your iMac like a regular drive. From there you can get any files off it you want then you can go into disk utilities and wipe the disk and reinstall the OS by using the iMacs optical drive.
That said you'll be better off buying a new optical drive and installing before selling. The cost of an optical drive is much less than what you'll have to discount your MBP to for it not being 100% functional. Plus people will suspect other things are wrong if the optical drive doesn't work.

The GPU on the iBook G4 is not to the left of the trackpad like it is on the G3. It's below the keyboard, almost directly below the S and X keys.
The G4 Vreg Chip failure (the little chip that develops micro-fractures, which is to the left of the trackpad) usually causes a no boot/black screen situation, but it completely disables the computer. You would not get a chime, you wouldn't be able to get into Target Disk Mode and usually the fan will ramp up to full speed on boot. If you can still get into Target Disk Mode, I doubt the chip solder fractures are the problem.

I will. It's good because, typing on it now and is charging ever so slightly... but because I don't take it out of the house, I will keep it on charger for now.

Another vote for WordPress here. Seriously, it is so damn adaptable there really isn't much of a reason not to use it.
Whether to use WordPress.com or just WordPress on a self-hosted solution is another matter however. Personally I'd vote for self hosted but of course hosting it on WordPress.com, if you don't need the flexibility, definitely is cheaper and of course it takes away the issue of having to worry about what hosting solution to go with, but hosting it yourself gives you more flexibility plus the ability to install your own plugins/themes.

Hello all,
Weird question, and hoping for some guidance.
Ihave built a light box and put a big pile of unspooled yarn in it. In the picture, the pile of yarn is off to the left, and there is a single strand (leading to the end of the yarn) stretched horizontally across the front of the picture. I'm trying to figure out a way to either:
a. transform the straight line of yarn and manipulate it into text shapes (probably something cursive-like), so I can make it spell something.
b. create a "yarn" text effect that I can drop into the area.
I'm basically trying to make the single strand of yarn spell a word. I'm halfway decent with this kind of stuff, but still trying to figure out how I might accomplish something like this.
Not even sure if this makes any sense! Heck, if there's even a "yarn" font out there that anyone knows of, I'd even use that and blend it in with the photo. Thanks for any direction or advice!
