Ok my mom just got a cable modem today. I have dsl at my house so I'm not sure if i'm doing everything right. The problem is, the airport is not getting an ip address from the modem. I just un-pluged everything for 8min and still nothing(This is applecare said to do.) The modem works fine when hooked up to a computer direct. Anyone have any hints at all. This is really getting to me. Shes running 10.2.6 and all the newest versions of airport/basestation etc.

I had a similar experience at Somerset in Michigan. I walked out after 4 hours when only 20 people had been processed. It was really disheartening. I agree that they should have either scrapped the walk-in line or processed them at an equal speed until the 100 or so phones they had were gone. Employees kept encouraging us that it would only take "a few hours" in the walk-in line, too. It was just such an unfair process. Why do walk-ins at all? Ugh.
I called the store today, and of course they "got a new shipment." Pretty disgusted with Apple right now. I get having a low supply to increase demand, but do you really need to tease the people who are so loyal to your company that they show up hours before your store opens? Cruel.

The Vodafone ad above is still there. It is annoying as hell since it sits right underneath the browser tabs and to avoid it you have to move the cursor around it. Any chance of getting rid of it?

For some reason, I can't get the "View in iTunes" link to work. I'm a paid iPhone developer, but it says "The Apple ID and password you entered does not provide access to ADC on iTunes."
Has anyone else had this problem?
I did. My iTunes account wasn't the same as my ADC account, so it created a conflict. I was able to get around it initially by signing in to iTunes with my ADC account, which had me set up a new iTunes account there. I can get the videos now, but I'll have to remember to sign out and back in when I want to buy music again. You might be able to work around it by signing your iTunes email address up as a Safari developer; I've not yet had a chance to try that.

Since both drives are internal, you can indeed dedicate one drive to Windows.
If you plan on using it frequently and feel like opening it, you can upgrade the ram and stick an ssd in for a significant boost in responsiveness.
Other than that, you could put Plex on it to replace the AppleTV, or use it as a file/webserver, etc.

For the people planning on showing up at 2 am or 5 am or any time before 7 pretty much... is it because you don't have a reservations, or because you need to get your phone before work at 9? Or is it for any other reason? Do you not believe it will be possible to get a phone if you show up at say 7 or 8 am?
If I have a reservation and I show up at 8 am, do you think there will be a phone for me? Personally showing up at 8 am and waiting 3 hours would be much more pleasant than showing up at 4 am and waiting 3 hours and getting the first phone at 7.
Is it just because people need to have their phone at 7 am that they camp out, or because they are worried they will not otherwise get one?
I have a reservation but im doing it more for the fun of staying up, meeting a few new people and having the phone early so i can play with it all day and not worry :D

The poles have seen more change than anywhere else and what's going to happen when ever more permafrost mets is quite scary.

Second, upgrading the RAM or hard drive yourself is not a violation of warranty, so there's no need to put the original RAM back before service. Hang onto the original RAM, in case you have a problem with the RAM you buy.

IIRC, the Quadro is the same as the 7800, but with a port for a stereo-3D headset.
I've got a 6600 in my PowerMac G5 and it's certainly whisper quiet since it doesn't have a fan. I'm considering an upgrade to an ATI X1900, though. I've got an X1900XT in my Mac Pro at work and I'm more than modestly pleased with it, but the 6600 is more than adequate for what I need at home.

I like keeping singles as a separate album. :) But yeah, since my last post, I worked on some groupings and they look great. I just wish they were enabled in iPod and iPhone...
