Hi Folks, I have a question about traveling to India...
Want to travel from US to Indore, India. As I need to change planes either Mumbai or Delhi, how does it work?
1. I came to know that in Mumbai, it is just change of terminals, not airports. Am I right?
In Mumbai, you need to go from the international part to the domestic part. They are pretty close. Usually the airline will arrange buses to take all the passengers to the domestic part. However, you need to collect your luggage and clear customs and immigration before that.
2. How about Delhi? Once I arrive at International airport in Delhi, to catch a domestic flight to Indore, is it change of airports or just change of terminals? Is there a shuttle provided?

I thought it would be considered fraudulent. I don't know why they didn't wait until the L1 application was approved first before coming over - it was only a week later? It makes no sense.

some of the countries like Phillipines may have more schedule A numbers. That is why the total number of EB for 2006 is 157xxx (above 140K).
If the schedule A usage was higher, then they may not reach 7% country limits yet for EB1,Eb2,EB3

you dont need to have ssn in hand to start work only EAD. Apply for SSn and the employer will be handed over docs of application, it takes 4-6 weeks to get the card.
if she already has TIN then do inform irs of the change and paprfile tax returns next year

Unless of course you are an illegal maid from El Salvador, in which case you can apply for your green card in person at any USCIS window by 9 am, and pick up your green card by 4 pm the same day. You have the option of premium processing, where if you pay $5 extra, you get along with your green card a U.S. passport, voters regsitration card, perpetual drivers license and a pack of "Hershey's Kisses" (or an actual kiss from the USCIS officer, your choice)

my lawyer just wrote me they filed EB2 for me and told me this means my case will be audited because 'job requirements are not normal' according to DOL :(

My 485 receipt Date is July 5, 2007. Today i got a mail saying they have sent an RFE on my 485 App. It could be for Original Employment Letter as i sent a copy of the letter.

You may! Because your priority date is based on your PERM/Labor...and that still holds valid.

I am in same situation. MTR approved to reopen 485 but online status not changed still shows 'denial notice sent'.

If i requre tha exp letter for i-140 stage then because my employer wont give that....can the client exp letter where i was working from day 1 work..also i hope i can get that from my projet manager and director at client...will this suffice?

Yes, you can run a business on EAD.
You can own a business on H1-B too. But you cannot work for it . You can invest and have someone manage the operation for you. you can take profits but not work as an employee.
Ok, so one can own but not run a business with H1B, but can own and run with EAD,right?

my and my wife received a denial letter from USCIS regarding our I-485 applications. My I-140 was approved on November 08'.
the weird thing is that I did not get an RFE of any kind... so, we decided to submit an MTR because:
1. the grounds for denial are wrong: no RFE on Medical and my case falls under visa gate - USCIS publication of July 23, 2007 states that USCIS will submitt an RFE on this matter.
2. denial over birth certificate??? anyway, it was submitted originally and USCIS just lost it in the process anyway no RFE on that either.
3. taken literally from the letter of denial "EVIDENCE OF EVIDENCE OF ELIGIBILITY MAINTANCE " I believe that is my I-94 -which we had submitted and the visa bulletin on june 2007 giving me the green light for I-140 and I-485.
so, we submitted an MTR based on this documents and I got the receipt date as March 17.
any thoughts and comments will be apreciated.

While on AoS, are we classified as US Resident - as long as we pass the IRS resident test of presence in US.

You can always take the flight back home. 16-hour workdays, a fantastic work life balance, and all basic amenities await you in the land of kamadhenu (the sacred mythological cow that gave the Hindu Gods everything they needed for a happy life)
Now now, you don't have to be so sarcastic, do you? Our career in America is a purely economic venture. It is beneficial to both us and USA. We get good money working here and US gets skilled labor for its labor starved hi-tech industry. After all US does invite us to work here by giving us work visa, isn't it. Do you think US will be churning out work visas if they can find sufficient US citizens tech workers? So pal, its all business, nothing personal. You don't have to make snide remarks on your motherland in order to justify your stay in US.

you are going to have to do some type of litigation.. which court and how are questions for your lawyers.. This forum is probably not right place.. start with attorny.. make sure it's not your attornies who screwed up..
