I got this error last night and I'm still scratching my head about it.

The project runs fine on both iPad and iPhone builds in the simulator and the iPad build works on the device. When I run the iPhone build on the device I get the error. Any thoughts?

I've just found a old ipod nano 1st gen. 2gb and white. I'm still looking for a black one. I'm trying to bring them, and their classyness, back to our modern, touch filled world. I find that their shape looks great, as does their design: the original apple ipod's look:D
After i find the black one, i will need to preform the following
1) A new battery: is ipodjuice.com reliable?
These are depending on the condition of the black ipod
2) a rear faceplate
3) a front faceplate
I can't wait to get it up and running! off to ebay :)

I agree 100% with both of your posts. It still bothers me that compressor is the only application that can make full use of both my Mac Pro�s CPUs.
And I really hate the look of low bitrate AVCHD but we have to work with it nonetheless.

I WISH i could get compressor to work. Oh, sorry....I should clarify, to work beyond 1 frickin' file! If i start a batch, the only thing I'm not sure of is which error I'll get - it's usually 1 of 2.
Yet, I can use Innobits, Bitvice to compress MPEG2 files for DVD (and the ac3s) and well, wouldn't you know, this fine 3rd party apps makes all my cores jump with excitement without me even praying to get on my knees and cry for help :)

The military can execute a criminal for rape or desertion. Treason is also a capital offense. None of these things involve killing a person, and desertion and treason might not involve any physical harm at all.
At any rate, you're still being very selective in your arguments. In the OP I laid out a series of reasons why the death penalty should be abandoned, and have only addressed one or two of them, and unconvincingly at that. Additionally, you have failed to make a convincing argument why life imprisonment without parole is not a sufficient punishment for the worst crimes.
The only thing you mentioned in the op is cost, which i already addressed. And as i said, i don't support capital punishment for crimes like rape, desertion, or treason. Come on now. Other than a VERY select few, Atari games are terrible and don't hold up at all.
Some are fun. Did you grow up on these? I think those of us who did, still get a kick out of the simplicity of them. I know there's a couple I would love to have for some casual play.

You're right this isn't the portable media market - those devices are primitive compared to what's being offered here and yet the heavy weights were NEVER able to even dent THAT market. You would think the likes of SONY, HP MOTOROLA, M$SOFT and all the other consumer electronics giants, with all of their resources, could come up with something smart enough to compete with the iPod over the years, right?
We pretty much knew Sony would fail, they're the ultimate balldroppers. They refused mp3 for as long as humanly possible, instead trying to peddle advanced MiniDisc players with USB2, years into the iPod era. Sort of a repeat of the Betamax vs VHS war back in the 80s. When they eventually caved, they introduced some butt ugly, purple, blobby mp3 players nobody wanted. Now with PS3 they're even losing a market they completely dominated, they're getting pummeled by Xbox 360 and the technologically inferior Nintendo Wii. I bet they'll somehow manage to drop the ball with Blu-Ray, too. I never understood Sony, never will.
M$ entered the game way too late with Zune, and with this DRM quirk the Zune is doomed. It's not even out in Europe yet. With iPod, Apple has always made sure that anyone in the world can have it in their hand a few days after the Keynote. The only thing the competition can hope for is that the iPod one day grows stale in the public eye. When everyone has one, nodoby's special.

Paired with the best online music store experience distanced it even further from the rest. That's what revolutionary means: a new playing field - a new system - a new product. Listen closely, Apple is attempting to reinvent the mobile phone by marrying what we traditionally associate with a smartphone (smartERphone actually) under a totally new "human friendly" and intuitive package. Those things tend to have mass appeal.

With iPhone there are many loose ends. Apart from the Cingular exclusive being a dealbreaker for many, plus the fact that unlike the iPod it will only be available in the US for quite some time (here in Europe it's been a long, long time since we last saw a business class phone that doesn't support 3G), how is it going to attract corporate customers? Allegedly it won't even accept 3rd party software, yet businessmen will want to sync it up with MS Exchange/Outlook or Lotus Notes, and they'll probably want to snap in their TomTom or Wayfinder GPS module too. As of now, the gateway for all things iPhone is iTunes, and they're kidding themselves if they think corporate customers will trust a damn music jukebox with their mail, calendar and contacts. And if kids can't cram it chock full of Java games they won't want it either. So the market position really isn't anything like they have with the iPod. Market share is everything. Look at the Palm - say what you will about M$ but PDAs with their mobile OS were superior to Palm in so many ways it's insane, but noooooo, people just had to stay with the Palm, just like they'll stick to their Treo even when iPhone can cook breakfast for them.

Japanese charaters works in Terminal.app while AppleLocale is set to en_US, en_GB or ja_JP.
But if I do:
defaults write -globalDomain AppleLocale sv_SE
and Log out and Log in. Then Terminal.app will display whitespaces instead of the charaters, both if I cat a file or open it in vim.
To reproduce, in Terminal.app:
$ cat
馬鹿たれ
馬鹿たれ
<Control+D>
Vim displays the correct UTF-8 hex values while the cursor is under a japanese character and pressing "g8", but Terminal.app will not display the character.
If I do not use the swedish locale, the week number will be incorrect, while date(1) displays:
$ date -v2011y -v4m -v23d '+%U %V %W'
16 16 16
All Cocoa apps that uses week number will display 17 /except/ for swedish when they display 16. (For 23rd of April).

i think we'll see a trend where people start clipping the suffle on something and then take pictures of the ipod shuffle attached to.
like... the most expensive driving mp3 player on earth, ipod shuffle clipped on the antenna of a ferrari..
or you've got a living mp3 player-pet: your ipod shuffle clipped at your dogs ear ;)
etc...
there should be a website for that... and if you're putting a bunch of google ads on it and start making it popular.. you could probably buy 200 ipod shuffles after a month =)

Since it reacently became freeware I have to include TextWrangler (http://www.barebones.com/products/textwrangler/) from BareBones, an exellent free alternative to BBEdit, also from Bare Bones. This one doesn't suck,� either... ;)
Also second, Adium X (http://adiumx.com/), which is so much better than Adium was... best multi protocol IM software I've found so far...

I'd really not like to see Safari become the next IE 5. It already has its share of JavaScript bugs.
exactly! once there is no safari for windows, there is no longer IE for mac (even if it wasn't the same for windows) and any of those for linux, looks like the web standards will be what firefox and opera "decides".
apple should worry about improving new features for the browser like tabs, page thumbnails and etc... html, javascript and css they have to make work like every browser does (or should). and javascript and css are not working well in safari right now.
