No sir, I remember they provided them with lot of information, it's just that these 2 Senators want to kill H1B program, they had replied to him or not is immaterial.."non answer" meant they didn't answer his questions but rather gave some vague reply of how h-1 was good for usa.
If I was on the receivng end of that response; I would have thought that these guys are playing with me and by not answering the quesitons; then they are obviously trying to hide something. Therefore, I will attack them in another way to make them conform to the behaviour I want.

Thanks Arihant. Yes it is strange and I am trying to find their ulterior motive behind this. All the while I thought my employer is not one of the typical desi employers (read blood sucking) we hear about in this forum. Hope I am right.
By the way, my question was related to AC21 (after 180 days of filing 485). If I quit my current employer and join another company, how would I let USCIS know to forward all their RFEs to my new employer/lawyer and not to the old one. Am asking this because I heard the I-9 form we fill while changing employment is only for the employer and he doesn't forward it to anybody. Does my query make any sense at all or am I just blabbering BS :o

Company lawyer and employer will not be even willing to talk to us as we have moved away. What are the chances that USCIS will ask stuff related to your old employer? FBI background check delay is the only reason why visa numbers are wasted every year.
I am not sure either way, however I have heard the FBI comment that they only flag a small fraction of cases. IF that is true, then the USCIS may just be using the FBI as an excuse.

my case is quite funny.
Applications went to texas service center originally.
From there they were transferred to California where they issued my EAD and AP but transferred the application back to TEXAS.
Oddly enough the only thing that i initially got in the mail was a transfer notice and the ead cards. I didn't get the receipt notice, the AP or a FP notice?????/
Any Idea whether anyone got ead without FP?

However IV cannot do it unless we ALL help IV in this cause. And that means contributing money, participating in IV Action Items, joining State Chapters etc.
Why don't you guys join your State Chapters and help IV in helping you?

Can you or somebody tell me the nature of RFE that was issued after invoking AC21. Was it related to semilar/same job category or ability to pay or educational qualification etc etc.

I have seen many people in the forums getting RFE after invoking AC21. You know how USCIS works, right?? If they ever keep track of what they are doing and if they have a definite process in place, neither there will be any retrogression nor any of these forums. Be prepared for RFE if you are invoking AC21. Though you can survive that, imagine the period between receiving the RFE and responding to it. What if that happens in your 5th or 6th year of wait?? I pray that your wait is not that long.

I think IV should lobby to have the DREAM Act applied to all children, whether legal or illegal.
I am a legal skilled immigrant, came her in 1995 and still in line for GC. My son aged-out 3 years ago, and daughter will age-out in a month. Both of them would be on path to GC and citizenship under the DREAM Act....only if they had come here as undocumented. The DREAM Act allows the benefit till age 30, whereas legal dependants age-out at 21. Why this discrimination against legal entrants?

Sad to see students being punished like this. They are just taking advantage of the system and make some money, but not doing anything illegal. That's what we are all here for right? Make some money. If enrolling for F1 and working somewhere else is against rules, then why did USCIS issue F1 and CPT to the students.

When her both I140s were approved before the July/07 485 application, why didn't she use PD Porting at the time of applying 485 app in July/07. That is one of the easiest way to port PDs. It would have been straight forward and she may have received the GC by now. I know, lawyers can make one's GC Journey much more harder than it should be.
Nothing happens to your current "Adjustee" status if you interfile. But, I can understand the apprehension duw to either lack of information or plethora of wrong information present in the open.
As her EB2 PD is becoming current from Aug/08, she need not do anything now, maybe 4-5 months ago she should have done interfiling when EB2 started to come out of Unavailability. On Aug/1st, she can call USCIS and if they let her, open a Service Request on behalf of her case saying that her PD is current and her RD is July/07. If everything on her app is complete, she may get the approval in August only. Best of luck to you and her. May you guys get it soon too.
