Who wants retribution? Your country has just destroyed two other nations
I want retribution, so do most americans. Glad we got it. And please define "destroyed", those countries were radical muslim wastelands and iraq had an evil dictator. They were pretty much destroyed as it is. Just like dirty trash bins attract flies and rats, those countries attract terrorists. Your solution to just leave the middle east alone is counterproductive, ignoring bullies never worked. Your country tried that with hitler, how did that work out for you?
As for enhanced interrogation, go for it. Skunk, i know you want the best for the world and im sure you're good intentioned, but many of your views are simply unrealistic. The world isn't that rosey.

I think some decent smart minds need to sit together, and work out this whole patent problem thing... It's getting ridiculous. They should just open it up to everybody. F$&# it, may the best company win then.
Samsung to sue Apple over the iPhone.....ha ha ha....Yeah because the Galaxy phones are so original?? WTF You dont have to be a brain surgeon to see the blatant copy Samsung has done of the iPhone.
Apple = Innovation
Samsung = Copyware
Not really.. If you watched Steve Jobs' interviews, you should have gotten a different conclusion... Steve quoted Picasso as saying: "Good artists borrow, great artists steal..."
My conclusion is that Apple stole a lot of ideas... And I mean A LOT... But you know what, they took those ideas and made them more user-friendly, higher quality, pretty much all the pros that go along with any Apple product...
That's why I said in an earlier post that patents like that are ridiculous... It should be open for everyone and may the best company win...
That's also why we always learn about Thomas Edison and not Nikola Tesla. :cool:

I was hoping the new web version would have a spam filter or domain blocker but I don't see it mentioned in the ad.
.Mac webmail seems to be down again.
Could the update finally be happening??

^^^ Really? I think as usual it looks like a booring American car....
Eh, normally I would agree with you, but I can't deny Chevy this one. It is a good looking car, imo. Like Quagmire was saying, in the "Normal" family sedan market, bland and boring is par for the course. This new Malibu, at least on its exterior and interior looks, seems to be a nice change from that norm.

No sir, I don't like it. No matter how you slice it, prices going up with competition going down (T-Mo buyout) only means customer gets screwed. But more importantly, I see this as a hedge for Ma Bell. (Roughly) six months prior to VZW iPhone availability/announcement, ATT hiked up ETFs. Now this. Could be that the upcoming iPhone 5 is yet another killer product in that such a move would be a stop-gap for would-be early upgraders and ATT wanting to offset that subsidy. If timing of this were an indicator like the ETFs in relation to VZW iPhone, six months from now would be quasi-in-line with rumored iPhone 5 release.

Well, I use Backgrounder to keep my music player going (I use EQu). I assume it will work with iPod as well the way you want, but I can't say 100%. Free on Cydia, so certainly worth a try to see if it works for you.

see what i don't get is this:
Apple and the movie studios both lose from pirating. The more people who pirate, the fewer movies sell, the less $ everyone makes. There is no reason for movie studios to be so paranoid about apple's agenda.
There is no connection between the music industry's alleged loss of business bc of pirating, and apple's music store.

My evidence? common sense through experiences, i've seen this situation enough.
In other words, you got nothing. You are saying it should be obvious. I disagree. Your personal observations are anecdotal. It is indeed easy to understand how you might feel as you do, but to declare your opinion to be fact because, well, you feel that way and it should be obvious is a bit like telling everyone all about god. Some will nod their heads, others will gleefully describe your filling. Unless there is good solid evidence to support this "common sense", it is about as valid as Hogwarts.
Okay, what do you think about the Sharia Law?
Personally, I find theocracy distasteful, but to describe Shari'a as stupid extremist ideology is absurd. From what I have read of it, much is a fairly reasonable social code. Hardly any worse than what prevailed through most of Europe's history.

"You guys are hysterical..."
our guess, guys (and a very smart sexy lady) who have a weekly "read the post and guess the poster's bent" voted unanimously that some people really have little or nothing to do in their lives, way too much time on their hands, and possible use posts as their only way to interact with other beings, even if it's online.
not so far off if you read past posts, and try to figure out why somebody takes time, daily, to go to a site that has nothing to do with their personal interests but just to try to throw a stink bomb in somebody else's chats. how much of a life can that person really have?
our female voter said that's not a kind thing to say, as this MAY be their only way to be recognized in life....................:(

Coming from an Apple / Mac Fan and non iPhone or iPodTouch kind of Guy & Girl, I sure Hope Apple keeps Sharp on Macs... I was at my 1st and 5th Grader's Parent - Teacher Conference at Chautauqua Lake Central School on 11/18/10 and there were 3 or 4 Macs in each Home Room... I got to believe Steve knows that if they get the Kids Hooked on Apple that they'll be an Apple Buyer for iLife.... We are also ProSumer kind of FCP people and Love our Mac versus the Windows world... Get Your Kids Hooked on iKidsFishing and not on Drugs leads to an Apple a Day keeps the Doctor away... Get it...? I hope Steve does.... Cheers & Hang Loose... Peter

Appleinsider reports (http://www.appleinsider.com/article.php?id=2251) on a research note by analyst Shaw Wu about a possible second version of the iPhone from Apple.
This second version would incoporate Apple's iChat software and may be dubbed "iChat mobile". According to Wu, Instant Messaging (rather than email) would be the focus of the device.
According to recent reports (http://www.macrumors.com/pages/2006/11/20061115090741.shtml), one version of the iPhone has already been contracted out with target delivery in early 2007. This first version of the iPhone was described as a candy-bar form factor (artist rendition (http://www.macrumors.com/pages/2006/09/20060913215342.shtml)).
Previous predictions of Shaw Wu are reviewed in our Guide pages (http://guides.macrumors.com/Shaw_Wu_%28Analyst%29).

In the industy's defense, since it is their copyrighted content, they technically get to set the rules.
That's the problem. The industry thinks that they can set the rules, when in fact it's the law makers and the judges that decide and implement them. I just wish the they (the politicians/judges, etc) would show a bit more understanding and concern for the consumer. After all, we're the ones who need protecting.
