I am sure this is the right place to ask such questions but I could not find other thread to post my question.
When we file for I-485, what document do we need to attach to the I-485 form?
Do we need valid Passports?
In general a person who is in the US should have a valid and unexpired passport at all times. In addition, there is a whole loooooong list of documents that you attach to the I485- your attorney should advise you on this. The most important once for employment based immigration are documents showing legal status up until the I485 application and current offer letter from your company. There are many many more documents you need to provide...search the net for the necessary documents...

Newt said Nothing is going to happen on this Specter or any other immigration bills in Senate. The conference with House will not agree to anything.

My company paid for attorney fees. I don�t know the amount for that. My wild guess would be 4000$
My pocket expense
$680 - medical tests
$75 - photographs
$50 - mailing fees.
$100 � Extra Day care expenses. My wife and I have wasted 2 working days for this filling, We had to work extra hours and week ends to compensate. Had to drop my kid at the day care extra hours when we were working extra hours.

How can CA/ICWA be equivalent to MS programs as they are post high school courses? These courses do not require graduation for admission.

Until recently (2001), someone with a Bachelors degree could become a CPA since the requirement to take the exam was a certain number of credit hours roughly equivalent to that of a 4-year Bachelors degree. Anyway, I consider a CPA as a certification, not a degree. If USCIS has been accepting CA to be equivalent to a Masters degree, then it is quite generous of them.

Lost in the big hoopla of 1 yr jump and hopes of similar advancement for others in May VB are the following facts.
1. USCIS is about to raise fees for all immigration related procedures beginning from June 1st
2. Visa quota ends in September and it takes on an average of 4-6 months to process I-485.
Let me detail 2nd step. If they move dates forward by say 1 yr and thousands become eligible for 485. They will accept those cases, get fees from those lucky souls and make the dates unavailable after 1-2 months. Remember last year they were moving dates by 6 months till they made it UNAVILABLE for August and September.

We are like beggars in this country. This country and its people do not want us here and are doing everything permissible under law to throw us out of here (if no law then they just make one up).
But we are such suckers that we do not want to leave this country and go back home. Gandhi fought to get rid of white masters but we were destined to serve one anyway. I don't understand why I don't live in my own country and contribute to its economy. Why am I tolling so hard to live here? I don't know when will my hard head understand this silly concept.
The reason is...probably we are not toiling that hard....As long as one has a paying job, things go reasonably smooth.....and we dont toil as much as it is made out to be.
The issue comes only when one loses the job...and had to play catch-up with immigration to keep us in status.
That is also the reason why you don't get mass participation in legal immigration activities.
I presume people are just happy with the status-quo! They think of going that extra length only when that status quo gets disrupted..

Come on we need to learn to forget the cold war days. This is 21st century and the age of facebook and other social networking platforms. the world is getting more connected and there will soon be no place for fighter planes any more. What we need is "food" and "water".....
Nature is showing us again and again the futility of our ambitions (regional and international) through her rather quite infrequent thrashings these days....
296 people perished this week in terrible tornadoes (worst in last 40 years!!!).....10000 or more a month ago in Japan earthquake (5th worst ever recorded!!!)....
People who care for food and not for security, end up losing both.
There will always be natural disasters in different parts of the world. US has a fair share of natural disasters, hurricanes, tornado, floods, earth quakes etc. This age is no different than any other, facebook and other websites only exist in the virtual world of computer programmers. The world is preparing for the next round of human supremacy. Humans will always fight wars, like it or not. None of us here make those decisions to go to war, its just part of human nature. The question isn't if we should fight wars, the question is, are we better prepared to deter one from occurring. Strong defenses is good enough to deter a war. So building strong defenses is a good thing.
As far as immigration and war planes are concerned, some elements in the US government think that its doing a favor on other nations by letting its people to migrate to US. Although, the truth is to the contrary, these things does have an affect on a much higher level, if not for individual application. So this topic is relevant to the subject being discussed on this forum.

I think all depends on how many ROW cases are in the 47000. Especially older PDs, newer PDs most likely will be still in the I-140 queue or I-485 queue to be proceesed.
I presume that ROW would be significantly impacted by this as India & China would not benefit a lot from it now because of PDs being badly retrogressed. I'm afraid that this has the potential of exhausting EB3-ROW row numbers for the rest of the year. Am I wrong to assume this?

It would help if Masters is only counted from the Acredited Univs...
I am sure they will take care of that loophole... the fact is , even NJIT is an Accredited University. The Degree is not worth the paper it is printed on though.

Almost all holders of the CA have a 3 year BCom. We have had, as far as we know, 100% approvals (for only a few cases) showing the CA = US Masters with the proper documentation and a professor's expert opinion letter. However the strong evidence points to the equivalency being a BA.

Transit visa is needed for indian citizens who are travelling with AP and without visa through lufthansa/Germany.
Here is my conversation with German embassy.
Exception Number 3 apply to you. So that means that you need to apply
for an airport transit visa.
