Could you elaborate on how this is a "wishful" reinterpretation of the law?
I have no intention of playing spoilsport if you are taking some good faith initiative. In fact, if there is some campaign launched on this - I will probably even contribute (well - if you are doing something in good faith for a community then I have a moral obligation to support it if it is not harmful for the community).

I spent some time going over the law a couple of years ago - so its possible that my memory may be failing me. AFAIK, this does not work for people who are already in the US. One has to work in their native or different county to be eligible for the EB1 managerial position here. Some one might have sneaked away this way at some time. But this is definitely not happening on a large scale as EB1 is current for all countries for quite some time. If a lot of folks are getting away, EB1 cannot be current for long time.
this does happen- for people in the US already. larger companies find it convenient to simply send the employee out for exactly 365 days and then transfer them back. and Voila! you are in the front of the line!

instead of sending emails and faxes which will likely get thrown out with yesterday's trash, how about a large group of us get together and schedule a meeting directly with DOL and USCIS officials?
In person gets more attention. maybe we can even generate some press for this if it is a large enogh group

I made it very clear even in past. I am more rational kinda guy. I want to know where my money is spent at high level - no details. I know its against IV policy. So I admire what IV is doing, I appreciate donor only forum but not contributing yet. May be I am wrong being too hard to be convinced. I will think over.

Every alien, eighteen years of age and over, shall at all times carry with him and have in his personal possession any certificate of alien registration or alien registration receipt card issued to him pursuant to subsection (d) of this section. Any alien who fails to comply with the provisions of this subsection shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall upon conviction for each offense be fined not to exceed $100 or be imprisoned not more than thirty days, or both.
So at least make a copy of your I-94/approval notice/GC and keep it in your wallet.

sounds good to me. There are lots of things that you can do with a subway. Does it have to be realistic? If not then you can make it look like what you think a subway station should look like (futuristic, older, or just different). A lot of different skills are needed, lighting, texturing, space perception, etc. This should be fun!

Got the Request Reference #, but the request is on complex track.
I am thinking of modifying the request to just my category and only upto my PD date, since the letter says that more specific requests might be put on faster track.
Let me know what you guys think. Should we leave it on complex track or ask for more specific information?
Also, any idea how long would it take for USCIS to act on the request -are we looking at months or weeks?

Correct me guys if this is worng, it is my undestanding i can convert from EB3 to EB2 from same employer or from another employer but retain the priroirty date, say i applied by GC under EB3 say in 2003, i can ask my employer to convert to EB2 or another employer can file a new application under EB2 using PERM and use the same priority date as EB3 while file the I485

At times we forget who we really are - Immigrants. Of course when the going gets tough, we will be the first ones to get hit. Why is that even under question? Do we expect any country to first worry about immigrants and then worry about its own citizens? I don't think so... We don't have the same rights as citizens or even GC holders, rightfully so. There are times when we will be discriminated against in the most polished way possible. For e.g. the President while giving out the TARP money to the banks mentioned that any banks receiving the loan can't hire any foreign worker (I don't remember the exact verbiage but it was something on these lines). Did people on H1s or other temporary work permits not pay taxes that consituted a portion (however small) of the TARP money handed out to the banks and car companies? So what? Some people complain about paying SS tax while they are not even eligible to receive any benefits unless they get GCs/Citizenships etc. So what?Now, all of these points can be argued in multiple ways but the bottom line is that us immigrants do have a lot of boundaries that we need to work within. Some of them are just, others aren't. Honestly, we are lucky that the govt hasn't come out with a rule yet that will send all the H1-Bs and other temporary work permit workers packing till the economy is back on its feet again. Guess what, we will all be angry about it when it happens to us, but the moment this coutnry opens the doors again to immigrants, we will be standing in the line right outisde the US embassy for new stamp.
Why am I saying all this - just to put things in perspective. As someone rightfully said earlier, filing for your GC process is an incentive by the company just like giving out a bonus - even that has a more certainity than GC. The company can anytime decide not to fulfill its obligations towards you if its not in its best interest.
Please believe me when I say that I am not writing this to lecture anyone about the realities of life. I have gone through the thick and thin of the immigration process just like all of you. I have spent countless hours thinking "agar aisa hoga, to phir kaisa hoga" (sounds filmy, I know) but its true. IMO, the sooner we understand the realities, the less painful it becomes for us...
Why am I saying all this - just to put things in perspective. If you download and read Obama's immigration plan (PDF), it is more or less the same ( Vs MacCain's plan). Except for no mention in specific words about increasing the H1 #'s or GC #'s, the plan actually makes note of the hardships faced by legal immigrants. The problem is acknowledged and they accept that the legal immigrations system is broken, which to me, means that they will try to fix it.

So what do we have coming in April bulletin ? I'm not discussing any predictions here but based on some information found on the web & in different forums , it looks like Eb2 might move ? Does anyone agree to the logic for this movement ? Is there any movement expected for EB3 - India , because with the Name check gone & some old cases getting approved , shouldn't the EB3 dates move forward ?

Iam really not worried about NUMBERSUSA. More than that iam worried about senators who believed such a propaganda and opposed the bill.
Iam sure now that america is not safe in the hands of such senators who don't do their due dilligence and just believe into lobbysts.
