Well I am using it on my iBook (localhost) and it works great. When I tried to connect to the Windows machine at work I got the same error. I hope that they get this figured out. I really like it and would love a functional OS X version.

The iMac uses a desktop CPU while the Samsung uses a mobile CPU.
But the i7 2630qm beats the i3 2100 CPU in the iMac by a wide margin. In a passmark benchmark the is scores over 6,000 compared to the i3 which scores almost 4,000.
Here are the benchmark links:

You can upgrade the 21.5'' to the i5 bud. Not such a huge difference. It's entirely possible Apple will chose a mobile i7 for the high-end 21.5'', but even if they keep the i5 as high-end, the main reason you get a mac is for Mac OS, and the majority of mac users who care about performance get a maxed out 27'' with SSDs, a maxed out boat anchor of a 17'' MBP, or a mac pro. The first thing you need to confirm is that the logo is indeed in vector form when you open it in Illustrator and not just a bounding box indicating pixel-based art.
Toggle the keyboard shortcut Command + Y or go to the pulldown menu View > Outline (or alternatively Preview) to view your art in both modes.
If you have actual vector art, then check the following...
• Pulldown menu Window > Layers - are there any locked layers?
• Pulldown menu Object - is Unlock All in black? That would indicate an object has been locked.
Those would be two things to check.
I've checked these things that you've mentioned, but the problem is that I just can't find an option to cut a piece out of the logo. Here is an example (imagine it as a nicely designed logo):

Illustrator just doesn't seem to have a simple scissor/cut tool to cut out parts of a placed image, or am I totally missing something?

Is this any different than being in the forum and seeing the icon that shows a new post since you've posted?
Well... that's part of it. In your User CP it collects all of your subscribed threads in one place. It also displays the icon in Forum Spy.
And I do understand the said feature is not available but it would be great to have something to the extent of simple Facebook notifications.

1) They are 2 distinct drives in the Finder.
2) Wherever you designate your download folder, that is where you will download items. Manypeople use the SSD as the boot drive for the OS and applications, storing Home folder data/files on the HD.

Hi there,
Just wanted to make a suggestion on thread titles. I may be the only one, but I think that thread titles with repeated question marks (?????) are annoying and unnecessary. It only suggests unnecessary urgency and importance to the thread the poster has written. Therefore I think there should be a rule that states that threads with more than one repeated question mark in the title will be deleted until renamed.

Any comments about the battery life?
Hard for me to say. I've only charged it twice since xmas. I only have 2GB card (22 mins at 720P 60hz). The battery is more than enough to fill that up a few times.
The anti shake feature works really well and is probably the main reason the footage is better than the Iphone 4.

ebay's had a rash of fakers and people who've hacked other people's accounts.
i reported one to ebay because the guy had e-mailed me an offer from an account that i recognized. the next day ebay sent me a message saying that it was a fake like i thought. it's a big scam circle. don't get taken in.
i wish ebay was working harder to weed these people out. they screw it up for the whole auction community.

Me either! Clerendon is definitely looking busy, so *hopefully* Reston will be alright. I've tried calling the store all day and cannot seem to get a response out of them on anything, much less when they'll let people line up, how many they'll have, etc.. =/

But if I was on the same network as you, you very well might show up in the finder side bar account name and all. For people who file sharing is enabled this is a huge flaw.
Except you forgot the part where you need to have knowledge of how the hack actually works. The majority of bugs are just not common knowledge or as easy as browsing someone on the same network.

I tried it out and it doesn't work for me - I get some error about an SQL variable. I'll stick with Navicat for now I think.

Is there a dis-mounting process on the PC? Is it possible that your Mac thinks that the drive is still being accessed by the PC, and therefore refuses to let you access the files, because they are 'in use'?
