Myself and my wife were discussing on this and there are also some contradicting results from the vaccine. So a vaccine no long enough in the market , whose resukts not yet agreed completely by all the doctors shud not be mandated for anyone ,not just immigrants.
lets start a signature camapign to oppose this. even though it affects only some people (does not effect me, for example), we need to register protest to send an answer to uscis that they cannot do whatever they like.

I recently confirmed Netherlands does not need transit visa.
So, I am flying Northwest.
Hi
I and my family members have EXPIRED STUDENT VISA on the Passort. I have H-1 (H-4) approval till 2008 but no VALID VISA STAMP on our Passport.
I am planing a TRIP to INDIA in Summer. Since My I-140 is already approved and I-485 pending, I will have ADVANCE PAROLE in my hand when I visit India. I will also attempt to Get H-1B/H-4 stamp at Mumbai, while I am in India.
My question is Since I dont have any VALID VISA STAMP on my PASSPORT While going as well as in return, WHICH AIRLINE OR TRANSIT COUNTRY I SHOULD SELECT SO THAT I WILL NOT HAVE TO GET TRANSIT VISA ?
IS there any EUROPEAN TRANSIT COUNTRY FOR FLYING TO MUMBAI WHICH DOES NOT REQUIRE TRANSIT VISA FROM INDIAN NATIONALS.
YOUR input will help me lot in be prepared and planing for my summer trip.
Thanks

As I mentioned in my post, I have applied for H1 in India in April,2007and got approval in August,2007.
My Approved H1 B petition does not have change of status i.e 1-94.
I came to USA on L1 in Feb,2008 and working till date. and my I-94 is valid till Feb,2011.
As I want to shift to H1 B,I think I need to go out of country i.e Canada from USA for H1 B stamping.
My question is:
If for some reason, I have not issued H1 visa at Canada consulate,
Is my L1 is still valid and Can I comeback to USA on my L1 visa and I-94? and Can I continue working on my L1 in USA?
Please suggest me the better approach.
My objective is to switch to H1 using my old approved petiiton and not want to go back to India for H1 stamping.
Regards
As you entered US on L1 after your H1B approval from India, You need to get that H1B stamped to work on H1B.
Looks like it is a one year old H1B. You should have a valid and strong answer when the officer asks you why you did not use that then or why do you want that one stamped now.
Best way is you can ask your H1B holder to apply for another H1B COS as the visa number is already counted against the cap. Hope fully you are not outstide the US for more than 1 year after approval.
If you go to candian consulate and your H1B gets rejected, it is a tough route. As soon as you go to the consulate they will cancel all the existing visas. You can enter the country with an attorney withing 30 days and your company A should be able to do an L1 again or you are out of status.
I strongly recommend you to go to your home country for the visa stamping until unless you have a US masters degree.
Need more PM me.
Good luck.

The President is once again giving Political KULFI to all Legal immigrants.
See below
In an Oval Office meeting today, the President and leaders of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) U.S. Senator Robert Menendez of New Jersey, U.S. Representative Nydia Velazquez of New York, and U.S. Representative Luis Gutierrez of Illinois discussed the options on immigration reform immediately facing the Congress. He thanked them for their constant efforts on this issue. The President and the CHC leaders believe that, before adjourning, Congress should approve the DREAM Act. This legislation has traditionally enjoyed support from Democratic and Republican lawmakers and would give young people who were brought as minors to the United States by their parents the opportunity to earn their citizenship by pursuing a college degree or through military service. The President reiterated his support for fixing the broken immigration system and urged the CHC leaders to work to restore the bipartisan coalition backing comprehensive immigration reform. The President repeated his hope that, with the election seasons pressures past, Congressional Republicans would work with their Democratic colleagues not only to strengthen security at the nations borders, but also to restore responsibility and accountability to what everyone agrees is a broken immigration system. The President reiterated his strong support for bipartisan Congressional action on immigration reform at the earliest opportunity, noting that the American people expect both parties to work together to tackle the challenges confronting our nation.

I am wondering why it is that nobody knows whether a bill will be introduced in Sept. The house and senate have their timetables set long in advance.
Also, if it goes beyond Nov, and the Dems win, they might forget all about us; they care far more for the illegals, unfortunately.:(
We must try to get this passed before the elections in Nov.

Any comments from IV Core Team ? What is our plan of Action? what's cooking inside IV ?

First of all, you need to heed to your lawyer's advise. Any charges that demonstrates a lack of good moral character can prevent a re-entry even if you have your green card. Any crime against a person with intent to harm is sufficient charges to reject entry or deny I-485 or revoke the GC. I do know that road rage conviction, DUI, drugs found in person qualify for such denials - I am not sure about domestic violence - hence my recommendation to consult with attorney.
Most of the people who are denied entry on AP are people who were out of status (people whose visa expired and they overstayed, H-1 visa holders who ran out of the period and cannot justify the delay between the H-1 expiry date and EAD issued date).
If you were out of status, attorneys advise you to not leave the country.
