Obviously, you don't know how the system work, well , Welcome to dealing with USCIS!
If I have never received a FP Notice from USCIS and then, they deny my EAD renewal because of this, that will be total absurd. I don't think any good immigration attorneys will let this go.

Im in the same boat as you. I just bought a D70 and it came with almost the same exact len kit. Ive had lots of fun/luck witht he 70-300mm at my kids softball games. I got some great shots of the kids at the plate , running, fielding etc...

Back to your original question....I just bought a magazine this week by ShutterBug - Digital Photography How-To Guide. One of the articles is about choosing the next lens for your digital SLR. Well worth the price for us rookies :p

I need some serious help with my D50 equipment. I have no experience at all with SLR cameras, and have recently bought a bundle consisting of a Nikon D50 and a Nikon 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED AF-S Dxlens. Now I am interested in buying another lens (The Nikon 70-300mm f/4-5.6 AF Zoom Lens) in hope that these two lenses would suit my needs in amateur photography. I intend to photo landscapes, portraits and some ''macro'' (flowers and some insects). So, I would like to know if these lenses are an acceptable choice, having in mind that I can't afford to buy some expensive lenses, as my average monthly salary almost amounts to the price of these cheap ones. Hi, I recently got a H1B extension stamping in Chennai consulate upto 2010 and I came back to SFO last week. Since my passport is expiring on July 2009. I-94 was issued upto July 2009.

Now my issue is to extend my I-94 upto the validity of H1B visa. I went through similar thread and it says crossing US border to Mexico or Canada will do to get the new I-94. So I am planning to make a trip to Mexico after my passport got renewed to renew I-94. Does it work?. Or do I have to go out of American Continent to get the new I-94. Some thread from (other sites) said, I need to go out American Continent..Is it true?.

Or is there any other way to extend my I-94 without crossing the border?.

Gurus - Please help if you faced any similar situation and sucessfully got your i-94 renewed.

Yes, you can do this if you are from country that allows you to enter Canada without Canadian visa. Then, you would need to give away your previous I-94 and get a new one upon re-entry to the United States. The problem is that some airlines don't want to take I-94 back if they know you are not traveling for over 30 days to Canada. This is especially true if you enter Canada via road. Somehow, it is best to explain why you need to give your old I-94 away. If they don't take your old I-94, you can ask an immigration officer for a new I-94, explaining the situation. Then, if lucky, he takes your old I-94 and issues a new one with correct date.

I have this dilemma. Since schedule A is exempted from LC, the priority date of Schedule A is the filing of I-140.

My question is:

Should I need to file in July to get a "July" priority date to say that I am filing using the "July VB" or can I file in August, in which I will August PD?

If I file in August then will get August PD, shouldn't it be construed that I am using the "August VB" therefore not allowed to do AOS?

My lawyer says otherwise.

Our appointment was at 9:00 Am but due to NJ traffic we reached at 10:00 AM. We both were worried that we may be turned back but it turnout that they had given 9:00 AM appointment to everyone.

As soon as you will go on the second floor you will be handed over a cardboard with an application to be filled by you. Fill that application and wait in a line to be called by a clerk for checking your ID and hands. The person will closely check your hand, most probably to make sure that they are good for FP.
Once she is satisfied, you will be given a number and asked to be seated in a big hall. Your number will be called and the person will take FP for every fingers in your hand. You will also be photographed.
The whole process took us an hour.
Just one more thing, plenty of parking is available in front of the prudential building.

I came to US 10 years ago and moved three times. Never filed AR-11 or change of address with USCIS. Filed for 485 in 2007 July with the latest address.

Will the failure to file AR-11 have any adverse impact on my 485? Should I send in an AR-11 now for the last change of address even though it's late by 2 yrs? I'm very much confused.

If I file the AR-11 now. couple of questions.

1. For the A# in the form, Should I leave it blank?

2. For the section "I work for or attend school at : (Employer name or name of School)"
I will give the employer name. But in address do I give their address or the clients address where I work, My employer is in Texas whereas I'm at the client location in East coast.

Please help...Thank you in advance.
as long as the USCIS has your latest address on file, you are fine. No action needed. But if you current address is different from the one on your 485, then you will need to send in an AR11. The card will be sent to the address on the application, and the postoffice will not forward the card if it goes to an old address, but send it back to USCIS.

Education is always a good investment. You may do it for GC or for any other purpose. But my advise would be to pick a good reputed school that you can handle and do something that would help your career.

If you look at the numbers.
EB3 - 3 years to file 485. Very little risk of rejection of 140 by USCIS.
EB2 - 1 year for LC processing, because you have to file new LC. Very HIGH risk of rejection of 140 by USCIS.

Now take your pick.

This exact same thing happened to my package sent via USPS, I sent overnight and it still took 2 days to finally get in a person's hand, it was still on time to not have any negative consequences, but lesson learned, don't rely on USPS/UPS and don't wait till end, atleast have 5 days for mail delievery. I had nasty chat with my attorney to send my papers before he was planning to send, I am even planning to report to 'statewide bar association'. Lawyers knows ( or must know ) the importance of timely filling and its effect on families and their lives.

Hope things go fine and they do accept the application.

On the other hand for cases that has to be filed by overnight courier that is by the USPS Express Mail the center will only pick up mails from the U.S Postal Service once a day and in the morning. Therefore any mail that is not picked up in the morning will be picked only the following day and is given a next day receipt date.

Note: The package will be delivered to the Service Center P.O.Box even if the mailer is addressed to include the street address for the Service Enter with or without the P.O Box and this confirmed by the U.S Postal Service.

Yes, affidavits or letter on employer letterheads from your colleagues about your progressive experience should suffice.For EB2 you need to prove that you have Masters or Bachelors with five years of progressive experience.

IMHO, Father & Son "feels" better, while Solitary Fisherman would be the best technically if it were cropped tighter (moreso on the left and top, being careful on the latter to avoid centering him or getting him high in the frame). To me, the rest of the shots have too much distracting material in the background (including Solitary #2, though that one is not as bad as the others, and the distracting element could be "solved" in Photoshop if the contest allows this ;)).

Edit to add more thoughts: If anyone tells you that you suck, keep practicing and prove them wrong (they're probably jealous anyway because they're even worse). I still have trouble with distracting backgrounds - that's probably the most frequent reason I send frames to the circular file, after technical errors (exposure, focus, etc.). Practice, not hundreds or thousands of frames per day of thoughtless practice, but concentrated, thoughtful practice, engaging the mind and paying attention to what's in the viewfinder (and what isn't, and what shouldn't be), is the way to improve. :)

USCIS updated today (07/30/07), the form 765 and instructions corresponding to 765

go to http://www.uscis.gov, click on 'Immigration Forms' tab, search for '765' and open the EAD link, go to the bottom of this page. now they seperated instructions and form into two separate links.

Its 30 days for asylum applicants and 90 for all other eligible applicats.

It looks very clear that 485 filers CAN get interimEAD after 90days.
