FWIW, it was a single Apple Genius that made that comment, specifically about AT&T's NYC service. AT&T didn't admit anything.
We need to let Apple know how disappointed we are with ATT.
A great way to let Apple know how disapointed you are with AT&T is to return the device. People that keep the iPhone -- even though AT&T service doesn't work for them -- don't give Apple much incentive to improve things. Apple already got your money.

The Antenna issue is real. It was bought about because enough people were having issues not due to some kind of grand conspiracy.

The number of people having this issues was and is tiny BUT they were making a LOT of noise about it. Apple had to *defend* themselves and they did a good job! It didn't shut up the "haters" because what they want is for Apple to say "Yep the bloggers and forum posters where right and we were wrong!"
Apple addressed the issue with a smart mix of PR and facts!

I find the comments and whining on this forum absolutely amazing. Surely a Windows forum would have fewer complaints about Apple.
I don't own an iPhone; I have no use for Time Capsule; and I don't want to rent movies. However, I am happy for those people who find these products useful.
I use my computer basically for email and writing reports (still doing them in Appleworks!), and I travel around a lot with my iBook. The MacBook Air really interests me. I don't need a powerful chip for that. I don't need a lot of hard drive space for that. For me, Air is quite tempting, although I might get a MacBook Black instead until the bugs are worked out of Air (price with 2 gigs is roughly the same for the two machines). I am prepared to pay the same for less because I know I am paying for the latest and new toys cost more.
It seems that many of the complainers expected Jobs to phone them first to ask what they wanted. They also want the very latest technology for very little money.

If we're speculating, maybe those with private baths for each bedroom care more about their guests/kids than you? A person who gives everyone equal convenience to his or her own bedroom shows that they don't think they deserve better than others.

That would be neat, rat- if any of the examples you gave were health hazards. They aren't. Guns can be. And your health is your doctor's business. My doctor asks me about all kinds of things I do and activities I engage in to give me advice regarding them. Health is your doctor's business.
I don't know, being a farmer/rancher is one of the most dangerous jobs in the world. Certainly living on a farm makes you considerably more likely to sustain injury or death during every day interaction on the farm. Kids get run over by tractors, wound up in PTO shafts, etc. all the time. As with anything in life, reward often brings risk. I'd say asking about living on a farm is very similar to asking about guns in the house. Both should be perfectly legal for the physician to ask about, but common sense and general courtesy would suggest that the physician should stick to more physiology related questioning.

Ok, Mr. Intelligent. It's been 3 years since the original iPhone launched. Perhaps Apple found a way to make a phone out of aluminum or a similar material, without affecting performance? Also, the iPad is made out of aluminum, yet it uses 3G service. You're acting like you know for sure what will happen, and you don't. None of us do.

Of these houses, I know all three families across the street, they would not break into my place, nice families. Two of the houses on the street behind me are either for sale or undergoing renovations so that eliminates them. The third house is this 80 year old man who I would guess still has a black and white TV and can walk about as fast as a snail. Don't think he's the burglar type.
The other couple of houses are the ones I don't know the neighbors. One has some teenage kids (I believe) and that is the one that always seems to be home or having the TV on when my 360 is on my network.
Don't discount the houses undergoing renovations. It's not impossible that workmen are using it there until they finish the job to keep themselves amused... My parents got burgled by the cable installation people when they were doing our street. Twice. In two weeks.

Have you had much experience with doctors? I'm guessing that you haven't because medicine is all about asking intrusive questions.
Doctors can't diagnose a problem unless they are able to ask questions. I'm just absolutely astounded at the amount of paranoia when it comes to gun ownership. If it's such a good thing, why can't a doctor ask about it?
I am really, really stunned that there is such a disconnect from reality when it comes to guns. The NRA has done this country an enormous disservice.
Please explain to me what my guns and my doctor have in common.
People, please embrace personal responsibility before you embrace the nanny state while you still have freedoms left.
Substitute guns for something else, porn, your driving habits, etc...and see if your thinking stays the same.

I thought about that, getting one cpu now and getting another one down the road, but the board was only $200 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128423) in this case maybe 2 systems would be better than one - if I get another one down the road or if Apple EVER gets around to making a new Mac Pro :rolleyes:

so 2 systems might actually be cheaper. i didn't put a case, since with the big $600 motherboard, it won't fit in most cases. and i assume you already have gpus
